And like I’ve said, it was a ten game slump lol. Has 57 games of shooting over 39% on them, and a disastrous ten game stretch where he shot 18%. Then Hanlen flew out to LA, they fixed the mechanics, and he’s been lights out since.

It has just become a talking point, but it’s very clear that last year was an outlier.

He's historically been great at those? I honestly don't know.

But I'll almost always trade a less efficient shot for a more efficient one (same player or teammate) whenever possible. Same **** I complain about JB with his tough shottaking.

Still haven't gotten my swag bag and JT2 shoes from Hanlen/Tatum for pointing out his pullup was whack. Without us fans, don't even know if they'd fix it so...

I still say what JT does in the playoffs this year is what counts.

JT should NOT be our closer, unless a 3 is needed. He doesn’t have the necessary skillset. That doesn’t mean he is not a skilled player, he is! But his midrange toolbox is limited. I would give the ball to DWhite. He makes the quickest and rightest decisions in this roster, and he has a killer floater once he beats his defender and drives into the paint. My second choice would be JB.

You guys are nuts. If White or Jaylen were our closers we would lose all our close games. If Derrick White was as unstoppable as you people think he is, he would be the one averaging 27 a game, not Tatum.

White is more focused and calm in the clutch than Tatum. Has nothing to do with points per game. Tatum speeds up too fast and looks like a deer in the headlights, while White, from the school of Pop, always looks calmer and just plays his same way. Tatum rushes things and overthinks at times, too. Brown has definitely acted in the same sped up fashion in crunch time, too.

It also has nothing to do with being unstoppable. Run plays for White, as most coaches will be setting up defense for Brown and Tatum.

If he can do this and not miss a single shot in the playoffs, we'll win the title for sure.

During the game last night, Redick said Tatum has the highest “blow by” rate in the league.

In the words of Steef, long live the pull-up three.

The Celtics are now better with Tatum off the court (+11.7) than on (+11.6). When are we going to trade this guy?

+15.4 on without Jaylen, +9.3 on with Jaylen. Having to play 3/5th of his minutes together with Jaylen Brown is killing his on/off.

JT's "down" season: 27.0/8.2/4.8 on 60.5% TS%. The only Celtics player to reach those thresholds is Larry Bird (2x).

I believe Brunson took Tatum's All-NBA 1st team spot with his scorching stretch to close the season and get NYK the #2 seed.
1st team: Luka, Jokic, Giannis, Shai, Brunson
2nd team: Tatum
3rd team: probably Brown, but we'll see?

No way, Tatum is locked in 1st team.

we'll see. Hopefully he doesn't care. Much. Win a title and he'll vault into your username next season.
