Extend contracts of core players. Find value picks in the 2nd round (Begarin, Davison) then develop them in the background. Yup, it's a good strategy. We have arguably the best front office in the league.

Long term, Davison and Begarin could be one of the league's most explosive bench duos.

Might want to just cut our losses and include Yam as filler in a trade. Maybe someone (a lottery team) wants to give him a shot as a backup PG.

I'd like to see it too. But he's gotta earn it. Next chance is summer league, then training camp, then preseason. If he plays well in those settings (and if we move 1 of the other guards on the roster) he could get a shot at some spot minutes here and there this season.

One step at a time. But he's clearly got some good potential. It's just tough for a 21 year old kid to get minutes on a contender.

The Celtics also extended a $1.8 million qualifying offer to JD Davison. Last year's second-round pick spent his rookie campaign on a two-way deal.

Yam is the better player right now.
He played in a tougher league against better opponents under a very strict coach. He made huge strides in playmaking and most important defense. He was instrumental in getting Partizan a Championship (first since many years).

From what I get from European and Israeli papers - there sure is a chance. Yam really wants to make it to the NBA and make it in the NBA
He was the most talented player on the Israeli national team that won the Euro cup a few years ago (with Deni Avdija and others)
