I'd hire Kevin garnett idk if he can coach but your meek and soft he'd beat you up plus him screaming on the sidelines at the refs, more value for your entertainment dollar

Hopefully he’s got a little deeper rotation.

As for Ime, well, nice knowing you.

I actually liked the look of this guy in summer league. Had a good positive vibe.

The pride of Johnston, Rhode Island is now in charge of the Garden.

This is a life-changing opportunity. Seize the moment Coach Joe.

SI article from a few months ago.

https://www.si.com/nba/celtics/top-stories/celtics-sing-praises-of-assistant-coach-and-new-england-native-joe-mazzulla

If Luke Walton could be that good subbing for Steve Kerr, Mazzula will probably be fine.

A general lack of experience for playoff matchup coaching could be unfortunate, if we get that far. If Ime's suspension is NOT for the whole season, that's likely to be one of the considerations.

Coaching really doesn’t matter. We’ll be no worse than we would have been under Ime no matter who the coach is.

This guy has been around long enough imo to do pretty decent, he seems to be in a similar mold of Udoka's coaching style. Seems passionate and has good leadership + respect from the players. Of course this whole ordeal sucks but they had to do it, guess we'll see how it goes. gfl Joe lol

Could do with a couple experienced coaches as Assistants to help out. Maybe Frank Vogel may be willing to join?

Wait so how can this guy have a job. How is this not worse?

“West Virginia point guard Joe Mazzulla has developed a rather unfortunate habit of finding his way into the police blotter. The first incident came in 2008, when Mazzulla was charged with underage drinking and aggravated assault at a Pittsburgh Pirates game. Last year, Mazzulla was suspended by West Virginia coach Bob Huggins for his arrest on charges of domestic battery. Mazzulla allegedly grabbed a woman by the neck at The Lady Lizard bar in Morgantown, W.Va. Both incidents involved alcohol.” –

Probably because it happened 13 years ago before he was a Boston Celtics employee and he has already been punished for it. Im guessing if Ime had this discretion when he was a student at Portland state and had been punished for it already then he wouldnt face further disciplinary action as a member of the Celtics coaching staff.

Hopefully he's cleaned up in a big way. Maybe he was an alcoholic.
