And yet the Celtics signed Blake. Should we consider why?

My guess is they don't like taking risks..

Could add Jayson Tatum to this tweet too. Tatum destroyed Griffin.

Weird take. May as well complain that Blake can't contain Steph. I guess the point is he can be exploited if switched onto wings.

I like him as a willing passer and passable shooter. Should get minutes on Al's off days. Hopefully Vonleh can provide more consistent backup rotation minutes and learn from the vets

Interesting parallel with Shaq. Late cheap signing after a finals loss. If he can contribute as much I'll take it ...but do it in the playoffs instead of the first half

Blake is good when he's being disruptive defensively and taking charges, but that's all you can get out of him these days. He has zero lift around the rim, and his jumpshot was completely broken last season. Personally, during his two years here I loved the guy because he absolutely still has the dog in him, but father time is undefeated.

He also decided to for some reason, during his time in Brooklyn, have sex with Lana Rhoades unprotected and ended up fathering her child, but that's besides the point.

Blake to Lana when he saw the opportunity for a contract to pay off his child support and live in a city away from her:

...and Robert Williams said, am I a joke to you?

those other vet bigs all think too much of themselves. blake accepted his role on the nets, if he can give us the same maybe with better shooting it is a solid pickup at the vet min.

i like Kabingele (think he's better than kornet) but he's got to earn minutes. if he can't beat out one-legged blake then he doesn't deserve em.

RW was playing behind all of Theis, Kanter and Tristen Thompson at one point and was NOT a rookie when that happened. Still remember that championship series against Miami in the bubble and Theis was horrible.. Kanter sucked.. and RW was 3rd string all while being healthy (or as close as RW can get to that)

Even a washed Blake is better than kornet, Hauser and the rest of the roster. Smart, brogdon brown tatum, horford, white,pp, can't will, griffin not bad when timelord and gallo get back lot of depth.

Not a good signing for Boston.

Blake hasn't been good in years. His knees/legs are shot.

I rather give see Samancic, Layman, Jackson or Hauser get a chance.

I have a soft spot for former star players that reinvent themselves as succesful role players in the later stages of their careers. I also really like bigs that can pass so this is pretty much as hyped as I'll ever be about a vet min signing.

Just looked up Blake's highlights for last season.

It was an uncontested lay up and a made free throw.
