In the East, Bucks need to win five straight. Cavs need to go 5-2 in their next 7.

At 41-12 there is a real good chance of getting to 50-20, need to go 9 and 7 over next 16

Need to take care of the next 3 @BKN, BKN, @CHI to get to 44 and 12.
Then things get tougher @NY, PHI, Dal, GS, go 500 to get to 46 and 14
And then really tough @CLE, @DEN, @PHO, @POR, @UTA, maybe 2-3 to get to 48-17
and then win two of these PHO, @DC, DET, MIL and its march 20th and the Celtics are 50-19

Hard for anyone in the east to catch them for the #1 seed at that point.

Rest of the season is @DET, @CHI, @ATL, @ATL, @NO, @CHA, OKC, SAC, POR, lots of time to rest players.

Only Cavs and us have a chance of meeting this standard in the east. Cavs need to win 5 before they lose 3, so it's probable that we will be the only eastern team to make it.

• OKC: 3-2
• CLE: 5-2
• LAC: 5-2
• DEN: 4-1

Stuff to monitor: OKC and DEN are just 6-4 in their last 10. Kawhi has an adductor strain. Will Cavs separate themselves as the 2-seed? Cavs finally slipped after winning 15 of 16. Wolves demolishing good teams recently -- 20+ wins vs. LAC, MIL, and DAL.

Thank you for the breakdown! All of them still seem doable but I'm hoping for a couple of losses, which also seems like a pretty good shot.

Will the Celtics record their 40th win before their 20th Loss?
