Definitely need a change to the current Ref makeup.
I'd like to see more refs.

Eliminate back to backs reducing the season to 64 games or so.

Make the all star game meaningful by paying players on the winning team and paying players for defense.

No in season tourney. Raise minimum salaries and lower max salaries.

Some good ideas.
IDK about going down to 64 Games, though. Maybe back to just 72, might work out.

I personally like 82. Not a fan of planned asterisks so every longevity record would be safe now, but you might see per game numbers go up but with an asterisk. I think it's a bit of a catch 22 to point out how much better shape guys are in, take care of their bodies better and year round, and play longer careers but then think we need to remove games from the season. I think the NBA did a better job this year of unusual b2b's where it's like a mini-series between two teams to reduce travel with back to backs. If that wasn't a popular fix then just make any b2b's be for the home team only.

As a rule change I like 2 challenges and/or you keep your challenge after the 2nd one if you won the challenge. Just a tweak to how it currently is basically. I'd also like the moving picks to be called more as it's as bad or worse than the take foul stuff they made such a point of emphasis. I've heard Scal, and actually a few others, say picks will be removed from the game in the future and wasn't sure if he meant as a coaching strategy (which is crazy imo) or eluding to a potential rule change. Big picture I think eventually they'll need to widen the court some and at some point might need to consider moving the 3 point line back again. Also the L2M report is worthless except to piss fans off. Hold refs more accountable, aid them with technology somehow if you can, and be more transparent about it as well.

Anyone have any other Ideas to better the NBA?

They have actually implemented some of the older Ideas, littlel by little.

Fouls and challenges is currently a mess and the subsequent 2 minute report only cements that problem. If the idea of replay is to get things right, don't let a game be decided that by a bad call that can't be challenged. A start would be if you haven't lost either of your two challenges you get the opportunity for one more in the final 2 minutes. Give the refs some ability to review calls like the NFL does.

Why not just allow a challenge in the final 5 minutes regardless of how your challenge(s) earlier in the game went? Move it to final 2 minutes if you'd like, but point is just something for the end of the game in case needed. If you win or save then maybe you get a 2nd to use in the final 2 minutes but to have a coach decide between a bad call that gives his star player 3 fouls in the first quarter and if he'll need it to make up for a bad call with the game on the line removes so much of what challenges are supposed to do in correcting humor errors by the refs.

Expand what can be challenged too. Goal tends, kicked balls and whatever other examples you can think of.

The NHL's system where a failed challenge = penalty minutes makes sense to me. IMO allow unlimited challenges, but a failed challenge = delay of game.

So one free failed challenge but a free throw for any further failed challenges? Interesting idea for sure, but I think some cap on the amount of challenges needs to be had at least so teams aren't doing 4-5 a game and really slowing things down. You're down 20 and Joe is a psycho so challenges everything because he doesn't care about the free throws probably isn't good for game time either lol.

Play series within the conference to eliminate travel to end regular season by April 1st

Eliminate the 7 seed from the play in
9 vs 10, winner vs 8 for 8 seed , single elimination

30 second shot clock

Running clock, clock only stops on fouls and timeouts by Team or Refs

First round playoffs best of 5, with all 5 games played at the higher seeds court

Best of 7 series with a 3 2 2 format, 5 games played at higher seeds court

Championship series 2 3 2

Eliminate the corner 3 while moving the perimeter 3 back a foot

I mean, if he gets T'd up for a failed challenge, he is ejected after the second one?

Why are people wanting to increase the shot clock? 24 seconds is more than enough. That's why the NBA moved away from awarding the full 24 seconds on an offensive rebound.

No more game management, extending series nonsense for the networks.

Get rid of Doris Burke.
