Welcome. Now sign an extension because I refuse to lose Smart for a rental.

For years we talked about trading JB for him.
For an afternoon, we were pumped to trade Brogdon for him.

But we were deceived, for another trade was made.

Smart was a good Celtic. Not going to miss him bricking 3s to end games though.

Yeah, unbelievable how the Wizards didn't get a single FRP for Beal AND Porzingis.

IMO, this trade makes the team better as long as we are healthy. And I love Smart.

I remember when Phil wanted to teach him a lesson by making him available via trade and you all offered 3rd pick (Tatum) + a starter (Brown?) + a future 1st pick for him, I wanted Phil to do it. Damn it was just a scare tactic! We would have got Tatum, Brown !! When Wiz traded Beal, everyone suddenly realizing Wiz blowing it up, I wanted us Knicks to bring KP home! Damn it! Congrats on getting him, not his pre injury All Star version, but a healthy KP is maybe still an All Star caliber player, you def just got better.

I was kinda shocked you traded Smart, hes like one of those players you think are gonna retire playing for just 1 team.

For Grizz, I loved this trade, they solved their PG hole as Ja is out for 25 games. They can play both him and Ja when he comes back, so Smart also replaces Brooks. They may have got better defensively even with departure of Brooks. Smart is also a very good vocal leader like Draymond, their thuggishness non sense and lost focus got the best of them in the playoffs, with Smart as their leader it's not happening, really great move for Grizz.

Huge acquisition if he can remain healthy through the playoffs. Helps us on both ends and takes some pressure off Al.

Porzingis is better than Towns on defense. There's that. Less pouty than Ayton.

instantly becomes our 2nd best player and gives us a legit Big Three. And we become more likable in the process. Huge day for the Celtics. Whether it helps bring a championship remains to be seen. The Jays will determine that

Love that he plays in the post. Allows versatility on offense *IF* Joe changes his offensive scheme.

Legit question... why did no other team go after KP? No one else had salary to match? All it took was an early 2nd rounder...

I like him a lot, always have. He can be an excellent fit here, but we need to figure out what we're doing long term because it looks like a rental at the moment.
