good dude, made the most of his limited physical abilities. he ended up better than I thought he'd be, particularly from 3, but I'm very happy to let him get $13m per somewhere else. Oshae can give us similar production imo, in different ways but same energy. can't complain about getting 3 SRPs and a TE back for a guy who was likely to leave anyways.

Losing Grant is not for nothing. It’s a loss and not a small one but also not one that will be the difference between us winning a title or not.

will likely remember him block van Vleet’s 3pt fga in game 7 in the bubble for quite some time. And battling through missing his first 50 or whatever 3s. And going down swinging against MIA this year.

Going to miss Grant. He did a lot of the little things for this team. He kept improving in every year, even if it was in small increments.

Grant Williams was drafted 22nd in the 2019 draft. He will be the 13th highest paid player from that draft next season. Guys taken behind him who will get more -- Poole (28th), Keldon Johnson (29th), Kevin Porter Jr. (30th), and Daniel Gafford (38th).

Meanwhile, Romeo Langford, taken 8 spots ahead of him, is currently out of the league.

So money really isn't an object with the Celtics ownership. Unless Grant is lying through his teeth (I won't discount it).
