Love it for y’all, assuming he re-signs. Y’all needed a veteran PG you could lean on when the offense becomes stagnant, especially in the Playoffs, and Jrue provides that. And we all know how good he is defensively. Also brings Championship experience, which is valuable. Good move imo.

Not sure how any Celtics fan can look at this as anything other than a massive win. Jrue is an absolute dawg.

Rob might make the leap we’ve been waiting for and Jrue is 33 and expensive.

But: it’s an appropriate risk to take. This team needs titles and this season is a great time to start.

I will continue to watch his highlights in a game against SAS from four years ago a few times a year. He hit the nitro boost in that game!

I love Rob. I do. But every single time he went to the rim and fell we were all waiting for him to be out 25 games. He was never going to stay healthy playing starters minutes for 70 games. Was really good here and wish him the best.

I have concerns about losing Timelord but I guess we'll see. I certainly don't hate it.

under the radar aspect is while i know white has good metrics at PG, he is poor at handling physicality and ball pressure. jrue gives them a sure hand when the intensity notches up. i'm much more comfortable with a jrue/white backcourt.

Nevermind. I didn't see that Williams was part of the deal.

Imagine giving up more for Jrue Holliday than the bucks gave up for Dame.

That's actually quite impressive.

Gave up way too much for a guy who's 37 and making 40 mils a year(or 36 years old, either way)- okay, he's 33 Stef corrected me... POR got more for Holiday than Lilard and Lilard is considered a top 15 player.... I honestly don't understand this. I'd rather have Smart back. Everybody here knows I'm not a huge Smart fan, but that's too much for an over the hill Holiday... Heck, why didn't we get Beal instead? Beal was traded for scraps and makes similar money(he's much younger, too, both have had a few injuries in their careers).
Good assessment:

PLO wrote:Tatum played OK - took advantage of a few mismatches - decent on the defensive end. He is what we thought he was going into the season - a technically very proficient player operating close to his career ceiling as a rookie.

Never watched many Trailblazer games but that may have to change. The real positive in this is that he's now on the west coast and can make life a living hell for LeBald.

Moving JB from the 2 to the 3 also REALLY GOOD given, you know, memes about ball handling and stuff. He’s grown into a ‘3’ — let him be a 3.
