I find it interesting (odd?) that around the 1:00 mark he says he's happy to be able to lock in two more years.

Interesting/odd how? That he mentions two more years instead of three? Last/4th year of deal is player option.

I think he said "into..."

Ah, I didn't know about the player option. Thanks.

I think we can go out on a limb already and say that he will be picking up that option lol.

My guess...

Next year (24-25 season) it's all good times again with him. He'll be worth his money.

In 25-26 season, mostly good, we start to wonder if he's worth the deal.

In 26-27 season, he's still fine because he's a good teammate but decline creeps in and we can all tell he's not worth his deal.

Before the 27-28 season we trade him as expiring salary contract filler with pick(s) attached for him to land an upgrade, similar to how we used Brogdon's contract as a filler piece in the trade to get Jrue here in the first place.

Hopefully Horford lets him in on the secret to long productive career.

Jrue is such a good fundamental player. I think he can be effective through the length of this contract…though might be overpaid near the end.

Jrue's wife is a 2x Olympic gold medalist, and I'd guess those were the highlights of her career.

Jrue is playing family catchup.

Less offensive responsibility, better spacing compared to when he was with the Bucks so hopefully this carries into the postseason.

We need him to focus exclusively on defense. On offense, he needs to sit in the corner and only take wide open 3's.

Nobody told Green in GSW that they expected him to play only defense, a player who is paid 30+ million, has to do much better on both ends of the floor, especially now that there is no KP, he has to contribute offensively.

Smart used to take the ball in his hands and hit a shot when the team was stagnant, Holiday hides and I don't like that from a player who is a champion.

I just think he would excel more as a third option and not the fifth.. But on this team he cannot be the third option.. I have serious doubts that his extension was a good thing..

He will be. Once JT asks for a trade and White leaves in free agency.
