Does this mean he's done with TV?

Van Gundy will be working under basketball operations and splitting his time between Boston and Maine, Boston’s G-League affiliate, according to a source.

A guy with a ton of experience. I'm guessing the C's offered him a decent amount of money to join the staff.

We can't blame Wyc anymore. Brad has literally had the green light to do whatever he wants to.
Good assessment:

We definitely got the better Van Gundy brother! Welcome, Jeff. He probably hates the Heat and Pat Riley, so he'll fit right in.

Can't have enough experience especially when the Head Coach isn't qualified to be the Head Coach.

I kind of like both of them, seems like a decent add for experience. But was he Knicks coach in the 99 finals? LJ is a PF, Duncan is a PF, LJ can guard him....Duncan proceeds to make uncontested shots over a guy 8 inches shorter than him. Hope Giannis doesn't do the same to Brissett.

Ironically, I felt JVG was one of the few broadcasters who was biased towards the Celtics lol. He has always been high on the Cs.

Probably for now, at least. I think he was laid off by ESPN a few months ago..

Yes, Jeff Van Gundy was the Knicks coach in 99. The fact that he got the 8 seeded Knicks to the NBA finals that season, despite his best player (Ewing) being injured was probably one of the best coaching jobs of all-time.

Duncan is 5" taller than LJ, not 8. And it was a long time ago now so I don't recall who was defending Duncan (probably either Kurt Thomas, Camby or Chris Dudley most of the time, perhaps LJ some of the time)..obviously it was tough for the Knicks having to play that series without Ewing, while facing Duncan and Robinson.

I like it. I don't always agree with JVG when he's on TV but he's a guy who pushes back on groupthink and will provide a fresh perspective. Has a ton of experience as both a coach and observer of the league.

Glad to have him on board, but will miss him on TV. Thought he was one of the better options out there.
