I don't care at all about East opponents and hope the Cs don't either. Check ball, game on.

Can't get to the finals if you don't win the east.

Last season the Celtics were thinking finals prematurely.

I know. And given that their series went 6/7/7 in the East last season, I think that was way more about them and how they were playing than about their opponents. Play the way they can and the East should be theirs regardless of opponent. Evidence: 15 game lead over everyone else in the East.

I think its better to face the sixers early on, than the heat. Jimmy really thinks he own us, and is just playing out of his mind against us. Clutch shots after another. Plus they are pesky on defense. I don’t think embiid will survive a 7 game series. He is not healthy, and his conditioning won’t be at best.

I agree with you about the evidence.

But there are some here who keep saying this bunch will choke in the playoffs.

I'm really hoping those doubters will be proven wrong so that we will have a crow party in June.

Lol. Its because they do choke every year. Still hoping this year would be different. Tatum’s problem is consistency.

Hard to believe we are last in fourth quarter blown leads leads in the league and last in turnovers. Doesn't fit the narratives on the Celtics this year.

Not jumping on Tatum here, but he is probably the best of the players that aren't truly in the running for MVP. He just doesn't have the consistency of guys like Giannis, Jokic, Luka. He can't do what a guy like a healthy Kawhi could do when he carried the Raptors. There's too many stinkers.

It’s insane he’s not even in the running for Coach of the year. He should be winning it, if not runner up.

Mainly, I agree. On the other hand, the Celtics' fifth-best player (arguably) was just named to the US Olympic team. It's not that crazy to regard Joe as having the advantage of a loaded roster.

I agree. Those guys rarely have stinkers. They put in the work every night. Plus, those guys are mentally tough. They want to win at all cost. Tatum, occasionally have games like he’s average.

They don’t like the Celtics coaches at all minus Doc lol. Same thing happened with Stevens. During his over achieving year when we got to the conf finals with a rookie tatum, not even a single vote among his peers. Casey won it, and got sacked in the off season.

Its because they don’t trust us anymore. Every year the past 3 seasons, they got us winning it all, but we always find ways to blow it. I hope they prove everyone, including myself wrong. We tend to relax in the playoffs as well, blowing leads and giving the other team life, and an extended series.

Sure, but how on earth is it not even sometimes discussed about the loaded quality on OKC even if they are young? It gets talked about ad nauseum how many draft picks they have and have had but no one takes that further to perhaps realise Daigneault has just as much of an adavantage. They are younger but that might make them more coachable too…

Having said all that I rate Daigneault, but it blows me away people ignore the sheer volume of draft quality on the entire roster he has to deal with, then talk about Boston having no bench and ignoring then how well Joe must have been coaching to get them to play so well.

Yeah when you follow a team closely you often over exaggerate the flaws.

Have you ever trusted a team that didn't have Sam Jones on it?
