Actually pretty impressive the Celtics have two guys drafted back to back at #3 with 10,000+ points. When you have high draft picks, you can't miss. Danny Ainge and company didn't miss. Credit to the organization and both JT & JB.

If we win it this year then I'm blocking everyone who keeps talking about trading this guy. :lol:

And if they don't? Or if they win after Brown is injured and misses the playoffs?

The regular season is thankfully over and now it is time for a Jaylen Brown wrap-up. After what seemed like a torrid second half, in the first season of what should be his prime years, Jaylen ends the season with these numbers (last year in parentheses):
Points per 75 = 25.5 (27.12)
TS+ = 100 (100)
3PAr+ = 83 (91)
3P+ = 97 (91)
FTAr+ = 98 (93)
FT+ = 90 (93)

His scoring load is less, team around him is better, he's getting a ton of free points off transition, and all those advantages were enough to prevent his rTS% from dropping for the 6th season in a row, finally allowing him to plateau.

His FTr showing an unmistakable downward trend since his rookie season (.293, .290, .255, .274, .225, .261, .249, .239)

On/off (CTG) = -8.9 (13th percentile).
-5.8 offense (15th percentile).
+3.1 defense (25th percentile). Single season on/off isn't very illustrative but the Celtics have been better on defense with Jaylen on just twice in his career.

DPM = 24th
EPM = 39th
LEBRON = 51st

His vaunted playmaking improvement numbers and improvement from last season in parentheses:

AST% 16.6 (+0.1)
TO% 10.7 (-0.7)
USG% 28.9 (-2.5)

Loathe to use the above numbers to capture playmaking ability but what we do have isn't very impressive.
Still the undisputed king of Lost Ball turnovers.

Jaylen's outside shooting:
r3P% = -1.2 (+1.4)

Corner 3 Attempts % = 20.5% (+8)
Fewer attempts, more corner 3s, a slight improvement in 3p shooting.

He he a role player at best. I don't understand a brilliant mind like Brad doesn't notice.

I wouldn't go that far, or rather, I don't think Jaylen Brown would be a good role player even if he embraced the role. You need to be good at all the things Jaylen Brown is bad at to be a good role player.

He is not good even as a role player. I can't explain to me how the Celtics had multiple ECF and one NBA Finals with some good role players with limitations (smart can't shoot, RW can't stay healthy, Horford is old and so on).
Probably JT is the best player of all time.

These guys said Jaylen would be out of the league years ago. The goalposts have moved so much I don't think they're on the field anymore.

The Bridge program is literal nothing. It's a 5 day summer camp for like 50 kids to attend yoga classes and presentations. If that puts you in top 25 most influential Bostonian, Boston really needs to step up its game.
