Maybe Jaylen can be coached for the contest by former teammate Blake Griffin.

You have to dunk though.

Donovan mitchell just had a spot in the 3pt contest lol. Shooting 35.8% from 3. There are bunch of better shooters. Would have loved hauser or Dwhite in there.

They should expand this to 4-Days, into Monday. It's a Holiday weekend.

I really need to get over it but I continue to not understand how Scottie Barnes was picked for the ASG.

He's the NBA's 46th leading scorer who plays for the 12th place team in the East at 19-36. Every bad team has a 20 point scorer so why him?

Also the NBA's worst isolation player per an article I just read on NBA.com. (Seriously there's an article with 3 interesting facts about each All Star and NBA couldn't even think of 3 positive things to say about him.)

I like him fine so it's nothing personal. It's just the weirdest and most random all star selection I can think of.

Should have been KP. Or if not him then White. Or if not a Celtic the Cavs should have gotten a 2nd guy. They are #2 in the East and have 1 allstar. Does winning not matter at all anymore?

Scottie Barnes isn’t even that marketable. I guess it’s to appease the NBA fans from Canada?

Seriously. The only explanation is the NBA thought it would make Canadians watch the ASG, but if Canadian fans wanted to watch Barnes in the ASG they would have voted for him. He didn't even crack the top 10 in fan voting.

Not to mention they have TVs in Latvia too as far as I'm aware.

Barnes just embarrassed himself in the Skills Challenge game .

My guess is that Barnes and Paolo Banchero's inclusion was purely as a showcase for young talent in the East, more than actual merit.

But then there is Bam replacing Embiid as a starter for the East :banghead:

It's honestly hard to justify those decisions of merit and output this season.

Should just alternate the 4 and 1 pointers keep the ball travel distance short.

Dame defended his title (only title he'll ever win). Who said he couldn't defend?

I have never cared less about allstar weekend as I have to this point.

I will root for JB though

The WNBA 3pt line is only around 21 feet and Ionescu will shoot from the NBA 3pt line.

That's really a stretch.

Steph wins this easy.

I guess JB won’t be calling me to be his dunk coach.

Steph is really the greatest shooter in NBA history.

No wonder they won multiple titles without a star big man.

Even the great ones go through stretches of being bad, but Steph is really consistent.
