Saving every penny for the White and Holiday extensions. And for when that repeater tax hits.

The Jrue Holiday situation makes you wonder if the Celtics are looking to pick up a vet PG/SG for the 15th spot for insurance.

Without checking, I can't imagine anyone who would play in the playoffs is available at this point.

God forbid Jrue is unavailable, they start White, Pritchard is backup, and in an absolute pinch (ie one of those two go down) then Springer guards the 1 and Tatum brings the ball up.

Don't @ me with George Hill or similar. Better off converting JD Davison to a real contract IMO.

George is apparently home on the range in Texas. I wouldn't really mind the JD "trial by fire" scenario. He's been with the team basically for 2 years but with just a smidge of actually court time with the big kids.

I didn't really mind the loss to ATL the other night. Celtics have home advantage so better if Joe gives 3rd Q minutes to pups like JD and JS and allows for more close games so the starters can play at the end of the 4th and figure out how they are going to close. They need to work on real world situations and come up with better sets than, "give it to one of the Jays, let them pound, then jack up a contested shot at the buzzer".

Career low TS%, more turnovers than assists, somehow worse defensively than he's always been.

Can we sign D.J. Burns, Jr. if he drops out of school tomorrow?

Mods, maybe time to unstick this and sticky the draft thread instead?

I think our work is done here, it's been a nice 1200 or so pages.

Probably. But won't it be 100 pages of people repeatedly saying, "No, they can't do that because of second apron rules."

Queta gets 15th spot. Unless we waive someone else, that’s it for our FA quest.

Your 2024 Boston Celtics Playoff Roster:

White | Holiday | Brown | Tatum | Porzingis
Pritchard | Hauser | Brissett | Tillman | Horford
Springer | Svi | Walsh | Queta | Kornet

So with Queta converted, can we sign another two way? This thread is far from over.

I thought of this too. Turns out, no two way players can be signed from March 5th to the end of the league year.
