5 assists/0 turnovers
Rent-free …

The Selfish Jays together were 13/1 on A/TO.

Hauser and the Jays had 22-27 points each.

The other 3 starters had 11 points each.

The rest of the team combined for 13 points.

So the offense was heavily dependent on natural SFs.

Coincidentally, the Blazers were -3 in Thybulle's 22 minutes, -19 otherwise.

Celtics just going through the motions today. I don’t even think they got out of first gear this game.

Hauser and Pritchard came to play.

Brown seemed to score when he wanted.

Tatum could get to the ring at ease but wasn’t finishing, which has been an issue as of late but I’m not overly concerned.

You know you’re a good team when you win by 20+ without 2 starters and people are still complaining. You can’t take anything out of these games. As long as you don’t create bad habits like turnovers or bad defense (only 3 turnovers and held them under 100), then it’s a good win.

What some fans thought was selfish basketball from the Jays, i thought it was more complacent and lazy
(Maybe from fatigue)

Derrick (White) also had a quiet game by his standards.

Even Jordan had his off games in the invinci-Bulls 70 win season

Sometimes it does feel like we (and I am guilty as much as anyone) take our team and players for granted.

We have no idea what is planned or requested by Joe either.

Sometimes if we have JB driving and creating that threat inside regardless of whether it’s the ideal play at that point it can open up things for others later. Obviously you don’t want to do this too much and more when other things aren’t on or if JB sees a gap and makes a quick decision.

Sometimes if JT is going more iso and creating double teams or taking the focus of the defense it can have a similar result.

But often I do get frustrated with them as they are our biggest ball stoppers and wish they could play .5 offense like Derrick.

We did it! We got Samuel David Hauser his first Victory Cigar of the season! Our top 8 now each have at least one.

Imagine complaining about the team playing selfish when they win by 20+ on the road with a 34/3 assist to turnover ratio. The offensive execution wasn't necessarily the crispest but they are not all going to be masterpieces and it was still a 133 offensive rating (that wasn't propped up by some unsustainable hot shooting either).

Controlled the paint and the boards, ran a ton (23 fast break points), made a bunch of stuff happen defensively (17 steals + blocks combined). Pretty much dominated all the effort categories against a team that's younger and should be hungrier and isn't on the first end of a back to back. Some of you are hard to please.

I just want give a shoutout to Hauser. The dude just quietly goes about his business. He gives it his all out there. He knows his role, he accepts his role and he fills that role well.

He might have some off games shooting but he's clearly one of the best shooters in the league.

And he makes the right basketball play almost every time. He had some moments (last season and earlier this season) where he'd get the ball and force a 3 when he probably should've attacked the closeout or passed it but I feel like he's been getting better in that area lately.

Bottom line, lots of people were saying before the season started that we only had 6 good players, our bench is weak, etc. He's delivered.

Then there was lots of rumors before the trade deadline that Brad was looking to add a wing with size. On here we speculated that maybe we'd get Bey, Naji Marshall, Taurean Prince, Kispert, Lonnie Walker IV, Osman, etc. Well, Brad stuck with Hauser. Hauser has continued to deliver.

Brad knows best.

Hauser is incorporating a pump fake + side step into his game to create additional space. That's a big time development. I hope he keeps that going.

Celtics have been looking for a pure shooter for years.

Hauser finally arrived.

That's why I didn't think Brad would trade for a wing at the trade deadline.
Getting another quality wing would only mean Hauser not playing.

I'm confident Hauser and PP can deliver in the playoffs.

Hauser's biggest problem was rushing his shot/not creating enough space to get attempts off consistently. It looks like he's finally slowing down and allowing defenders to leave their feet to create space. If he can get 10 attempts a game he will make 5 or 6 of them.

He should really study Duncan Robinson. I think they have similar games.

Agree.

On defense, Hauser is better than Robinson.

I was watching the Blazers feed last night and their announcers were fine but man the camera work was terrible. There were at least 4 made baskets that didn't actually get on TV because they were either showing a replay of something from 5 minutes earlier or just zooming in on a random player's face for no reason.
