If the Celtics choke, and Tatum disappears like he does under pressure then the fans will turn their back on Tatum

But even if the Cs exit in the playoffs this year, those same Celtic fans will tune in again next season to watch the Celtics.

It's not like if JT fails Celtic fans will stop becoming Celtic fans.

I agree with that but at the same time, its time for us to win banner 18, and if its not getting done with Tatum and Brown maybe its time to make some major changes. This is the easiest path to the finals and for them to win banner 18, but they showed during the regular season that they dont have mental toughness. Every time they faced an elite team, they got spanked.

I do believe Joe Mazzulla will be the first piece to get cut if they dont win championship.

My heart tells me they dont have what it takes to beat Denver in 7 game series...maybe even Sota

I think we are the only team that has a chance to beat denver from the east. If we face denver in the finals, that’s the only time i would preach chucking off as many 3’s as we can. If we can get hot for 4 games, then we win that chip. If the games are close, i don’t like our chances. But its not impossible for us to shoot lights out for 4 games. Our guys can do that. Just get to the finals first.

The mind-boggling criticism of Tatum reminds me of the exact same thing about Pierce 16-17 years ago. We old timers remember. Even with the cold hard numbers in front of them, people insist! Un-freaking-believable.

It's also true that it's a 2-way street, one loss and some of the Celtic fans are in panic mode.

Paul Pierce has more balls than JT will ever have.

Paul Pierce was godawful in the "clutch" and frankly not that good in general in the playoffs. Without a top-10 all-time player and a top-5 all-time shooter helping him to a ring, he would be remembered mainly for being stabbed, pretending to need a wheelchair, and for pooping in his shorts.

I should pull up 1 of my 5000 posts from back in the day depicting his incredible stats - including in the clutch.

The You Tube videos showing innumerable clutch shots in the final seconds & minutes of tight games - 5 of which I witnessed in person.

And the vast number of clutch ASSISTS & FTS as well - which most people are clueless about.

The videos of Bron & Kobe saying out loud that he was the most feared opponent they ever faced.

Listen to Shaq talk about him & why he nicknamed him The Mother **** Truth.

The most underrated Super Star of his generation by light years.

KG & Ray win NOTHING without him - just as he would not have won without them.

He carried **** teams for 9 years until KG showed up.

Had he been given KG 5-6 years earlier like Kobe was given Shaq in his young prime, we would have several more banners today. No doubt in my mind.

And he had huge Dawg in him.

Was he perfect? Hell no. Not close. Did he **** up at times. Sure he did. But he had balls the size of pineapples.

JT has been beyond phenomenal & possesses more pure talent than Truth ever had.
My only concern with him is the lack of enough dawg & consistent fierceness.
He is too nice a guy.
Needs to become more cut throat.
Needs a Coach to call him out when he starts doing #7 things.
He still has time to become one of the best ever. He is still young. Time will tell.
