Why comparing JT with JB? Brown, according to your opinion, is the 5th option on the team at best.BK_2020 wrote:NYCelticsfan136 wrote:Can Tatum have a good series for once? He shot terrible against the heat.
He didn't have a bad scoring series at all. He scored 21.8 on .563 TS% against triple coverage, which is very similar to Jaylen Brown's 22.8 on .565 TS% against Tyler Herro single coverage. Just different ways to get buckets. Tatum got to the line like he's Joel Embiid combined with Jalen Brunson. He had more than double the free throws attempted as Jaylen Brown and 4 times as many made free throws.

All the best versions of this team include Tatum in the lineup, a lot of gravity. Everyone makes more shots when he's on the floor - different coaches and teammates, doesn't matter.
In the end a lot of guys will have to thank him for having their career year playing together.
Even the Adv stats are not the only way to judge a performance. If a player goes out up by 9/10 points and come in with his team is up by 20 is just 'normal' for that team to relax a little bit. And then your margine can be erased a little bit.Fierce1 wrote:Andre3822 wrote:Tatum did have a good series, made the right play and took on most of the defensive attention. Guess some just look at the stats and when they see the low shooting %, they come to a conclusion.

Sometimes rotation (both teams) is a key part of the ADV stats result.

Maybe JT is doing it on purpose because if he's not good, a lot of people talk about him.
But if JT plays great, nobody talks about him.

That won’t cut it. That poor shooting percentage in the long run.
