Guess some just look at the stats and when they see the low shooting %, they come to a conclusion.

That won’t cut it. That poor shooting percentage in the long run.

Its not like he’s just facilitating more. He’s still taking shots, but at a poor percentage, hence, the low scoring. We really don’t need him to score big this season. We just need him to deliver when we have difficulties scoring. That’s what superstars do. Lets see what he does this series.

He’s still taking shots, but like BARELY, for a superstar lol. I’ll use per 36, with the minutes difference.

Regular season: 19.4 shots per 36 minutes
Heat series: 14.6 shots per 36 minutes

That is an absurd drop off lol, same thing with his usage. He absolutely needs to shoot better, but the numbers are dragged down by fluke shooting on catch and shoot threes, and floater range.

Regular season: 43% on C&S threes/44% from 3-10 feet, 43% last playoffs too.

Heat series: 18% on catch and shoot threes, 33% from 3-10 feet.

If I know anything about basketball, all I take from those numbers is that he’s going to go off this series.

Tatum clearly BITW. Seriously though, the Jokic (Giannis too) part caught my attention.

Jokic is incredible, but that path last year was super easy lol, and people overrated the team based off of that. It’s why I’ve been bullish on Minny beating them all season.

They are going to start two guys in Mobley and Okoro who are shaky three point shooters. okoro has actually hit at a decent rate but his attempt rate is fairly low. The C's should put Horford and Tatum on those two and let them roam off to protect the paint. They SHOULD be able to shut these Cavs down.

I don't understand the JT problem. We are a team and in the Heat series we had better matchup around the court than JT versus Adebayo. We won basically every game by 20. The only issue has been the soft D in game 2.
Round 2 will be a different series and I'm sure Mazzulla is going to use a different strategy on offense.

That’s a small worry of mine.. should, but we do tend to let guys shoot and try to beat the odds which has nipped us before. Shouldn’t be an issue, but think a lot depends on Allen. They’re a solid defensive team with him so if they get got could definitely get a couple games.

Same, if Tatum is deferring to the rest of the team and we're winning in blowouts 4 times in 5 games then I have no problem with that. When he sees an opportunity to go off, I'm sure he will.
