Now thats a twisted movie.

I like twisted movies, but without providing any spoilers, I thought that one was a little too twisted just for the sake of being twisted.

How about Stay Tuned? Possibly my favorite rated PG movie (I'm pretty sure it was rated PG)

I'm a huge fan of Chinese flicks. If you guys don't mind reading subtitles, then these movies are a must watch.

Infernal Affairs (The movie The Departed was based on)
A Better Tomorrow 1&2
Exiled
Fulltime Killer
Running Out of Time

Are you referring to a Chinese movie called Internal Affairs, or the movie with Richard Gere?

For Japanese and other Asian flicks, I've seen and recommend the ff:

Battle Royale (Japan) - a group of students are forced to kill each other on a deserted island. 'Nuff said. A remake is in the works, though I'm not too thrilled with remakes.
Ichi The Killer (Japan) - One of Takashi Miike's finest.
Oldboy (Korea) - A powerful albeit disturbing film to witness.
Versus (Japan) - A zombie fest and gore galore!
Grave of the Fireflies (Japan) - The most heart wrenching, realistic, animated war film ever made. For once I agree with Ebert.
Spirited Away (Japan) - A magical journey. Miyazaki's version of Alice in Wonderland.

There are lots more, but these are on the top of my list.

Well, on the subject of Japanese movies, I just watched One Missed Call (Takeshi Miike) on the Sundance channel.

Very good movie. And apparently there's a sequel (been out for a couple years) and an American remake coming out sometime soon. I thought it was more David Lynch-esque than Ichii or Gozu

I just bought the DVD of One Missed Call a few weeks ago. Good film.

As far as Takashi Miike's horror films go, my favorite would have to be Audition.

I'd also recommend South Korea's A Tale of Two Sisters - delves more into the psychological horror aspects; and Thailand's Shutter - the best Asian horror I've seen in a while.

Just saw Eastern Promises and The Heartbreak Kid this weekend.

I liked Eastern Promises, but not as much as A History of Violence. The sauna fight scene kicked a$$ though, and is a must see.

I didn't find The Heartbreak Kid funny at all, the character Ben Stiller played was too annoying... or it could be Ben himself... hmmm. Bottom line, even a nekkid Malin Akerman couldn't save this film.

Just saw 3:10 to Yuma. It was pretty good. If you like westerns, I recommend it.

Also, Letters from Iwo Jima. It is Clint Eastwood's telling of Japan's side during the invasion as in Flags of our Fathers. I actually liked it better.

Yeah I saw letters from Iwo Jima. Kind of long, but I liked it and shows you the reality of what some of these soldiers did.

Saw a preview of U2 3D. U2 is OK, but watching Bono on a 65' by 85' screen is scary. And then think that it's in 3D; it's like getting a lapdance or some ****. Scary stuff.

It premieres at the IMAX at the aquarium on Wednesday if any of you Boston dudes like U2. It's basically just a documentary of a concert in Argentina.

Looks like The Dark Night will be that much more interesting considering Heath Ledger's recent demise.

RIP Heath.
