And tired, very likely too.

I don't believe this trade from Dallas. As someone who had hoped this summer we trade Pierce and Rondo for Devan Harris and Josh Howard I can't understand what Dallas is doing.

This is a great deal for the Nets.

I can't believe the Mavs weren't aware of this tiny detail.

If the deal is re-engineered and D. George stays in Dallas, he won't receive an assist from Kidd until the day he dies.

Devean Gerge has a no-trade clause in his contract? I thought you had to be Kobe Bryant to get one.

I don't know what I'm more surprised about from everything that has happened today, the unmatched stupidity of whoever is lying in the McNamee-Clemens case or the fact that Devean George actually has a no trade clause in his contract.

Devean George...really?!?!?

If I'm Mark Cuban, I call Deveon George into my office... and beat the S*%t out of him! With a baseball bat!

Well, he better bat himself in the head first, for signing him to a contract with a no-trade clause, and for pulling the trigger on this trade without checking if it was possible first. Then he can beat the hell out of George alright.

Deal would work with Trenton Hassell, although I doubt the Nets want to take on that contract.

I can't imagine that the trade won't be re-worked without George. According to the espn trade machine, just replacing George with Trenton Hassell and subbing Antoine Wright back into the original deal instead of the side deal works.

Otherwise surely some changes with Malik Allen or Darrell Armstrong staying, maybe Nachbar going; or Barea, Bass, Fazekas going to New Jersey would do the trick. It can't be too hard to adjust 2.4 million.

Why would Devon do that?

He is now not welcome in NJ OR Dal.

Plus - NJ would have bought him out if he really made a fuss. His agent should have gone to Cuban and said - we are going to hold this up unless NJ agrees to buy him out and you agree to re-sign him...

Perhaps Devean George was asked to decline the trade? Maybe this is similar to GP not reporting to the C's, now the Nets have to take back Hassell and give Antoine Wright (I'm not convinced that Antoine Wright's improvement this season has nothing to do with the fact that its a contract year for him).

Anyways, IMO this was a bad trade for the Mavs to begin with, Devean George can only do them a favor by exercising his rights IMO.
