This playoff series is looking like a waste of time for both teams. On the plus side, we're getting to give our young players some playoff experience and we'll have easy passage to the second round.

Looks like the Hawks are trying to get the blowout below 20. Pathetic.

Boston chants "RON-DO'S BE-TTER" at Mike Bibby
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pnng-pBMChs
After making comments in the Atlanta Journal Constitution about the Cetlics fans being 'bandwagon jumpers,' Mike Bibby saw no end to the mocks and boos in Bean Town.

Bibby got owned. Rondo humiliated him tonight. I don't believe the statline, I know Bibby had more than one turnover.

Another great showing by Boston.

I love the heart by so many players from both teams tonight. Atlanta's weakness are really showing, so the lack of depth and shooters should for the ASG to do something about it during the offseason.

Looking forward to game 3! Watch those Cavs closely.

I agree but unfortunately these games must be played hopefully there is just two more games left in this series.

It would be really nice if on Saturday night the Celtics could go out and just lay the smack down on this team. Young legs in ATL (despite how they've played so far) and what is looking like a tough LeBron team in round 2 mean that I'd like to see this one wrapped up ASAP!

The playoffs just take so long, and it's not really fun for anyone to see a 66-win team toy with a 37-win team in a seven-game series. I wish we still had the five-game first round series.

In a game that was called egregiously for the Hawks we still beat them by 20. Doesn't even feel like the playoffs have started

Yeah. Is this the single most lopsided playoff matchup of all time? It has to be close.

Here's the Associated Press recap on what happened to Pierce.
The Hawks came out feisty and physical. Just 82 seconds in, Joe Johnson fouled Pierce to keep him from an easy layup. Smith came in from the side and slammed Pierce to the floor and landed on top of his chest before rolling over his head.

The Celtics, especially Perkins, took exception, and coach Doc Rivers ran onto the court to keep his young center from escalating the incident.

Usually they understate things like that. Kudos for them exposing that punk Smith.

This is exactly what I said in a thread last week and something I've felt for years.

Better still would be to reduce the playoff field to the level it was at before it was expanded in 1984. That way we wouldn't have **** ridiculous 35 win teams gumming up the playoffs.
