Brown was the Key to the game, mobility, mobility, mobility to guard the pick and rolls and the triangle. Hopefully DOc realizes this when he watches tape tomorrow.

Speaking of only one game, how about the Lakers try to win ONE GAME against us this year first, before we hear all this talk of how they're going to wipe us out in the series. Just ONE GAME. Our win tonight was more than they've been able to do against us this year.

I'm glad you said that. I thought I must have been seeing things.

Let's hope that doesn't happen during this series cause you know Phil is gonna whine about the calls (he was already doing it in the in the start of the second quarter)!

We played horrible defense in the first half probably due to the week off. PJ was incredible tonight 3 more wins!

37 points in the 2nd half for the Lakers. Nice.

Thank God we figured out how to stop the pick & roll.

Does Paul Pierce's number belong in Boston's rafters?

It seems like Paul Pierce all but cemented his place in Celtic history with his dramatic return in Game 1 of the 2008 NBA Finals.

win or lose this series, this game will be on ESPN Classic next time these two franchises meet in the Finals, due to Pierce's heroics coming back from that injury. Another great moment in the Celtics/Lakers lore.

They're right. Lakers will be tougher than Detroit and with the 2-3-2 format it will really be a moral defeat for the Celtics if they don't win on Sunday.

Let's see how PP heals up and what adjustments get made between games before going crazy celebrating...

Definitely agree here, although this is a great victory we need to focus on Game 2 which is huge for both teams. If the Celtics win they go up 2-0, eliminate LA's chance to finish the series at home, and if they steal 1 of 3 in LA then they have two shots to win the series back at home. If LA takes Game 2 then they have a chance to finish the series at home. Game 2 is huge in the 2-3-2 format if you ask me

Let's not forgot to thank the Zen-master who leaves his MVP on the bench while game gets away.

Return to Boston Celtics
