Our Offense is key! I don't know how our offense can look so good at times but also erratic during long stretches. Our defense will be there but we need to get better at running our O. We do that, we will be champs!

I'm a little worried about the Lakers adjustments for game 2 and how we'll respond. I'm just not that confident that Doc will anticipate their game plan and adjust.

and a big LAUGH OUT LOUD @ the final Bench scoring numbers.. Lakers bench superior?? Celtics bench out scores Lakers 17-15... I love when the media overrates :)

When is the media gonna stress rebounding and defense are the keys to Actually Winning?

C's need to win game 2 to get some respect. I hope PP is alright. I didn't think he was moving as well after the injury.

Yep, I have a friend who is a Laker fan and we went through this same crap when LA played Detroit.

I told him then Detroit's bench was better, and he tried to sell me on Devean George and Kareem Rush and how they could start for every other team out there before the series.

Now I am hearing the same crap about Ariza, Luke Walton, Turiaf and Vujacic. It is like the Bulls bench player with MJ/Pippen....when they get in the game Kobe commands so much attention most of the time they get open shots. These guys are no better than Luc Longley, Pete Myers, Brian Williams, Randy Brown, Jud Buechler, Jason Caffey.........

The Celtics have guys who were champs on other teams, near allstar players at one time, defensive stoppers (Posey, Cassell, PJ Brown). Heck the only reason they got Leon Powe was because of a serious injury.

Just remember when bashing Kobe's start, Lebron had a horrible start to the Cavs-Celtics series and by game 7 he put together an epic performance. So don't go out expecting the MVP to continue to have a points per shot average under 1.

Even with that, if they play D like they did in the 2nd half, Kobe could drop 40 and I'd still like our odds.

C's need to win Game 2. I'm glad game 2 is on Sunday. It'll give Paul more time to rest his knee.

Go Celtics!

I love how Kobe fans used to say he was alone on LA, nobody but him to score, had Sasha et al as team mates.
Now that they are in the finals, what used to be "a bunch of scrubs that couldn't play anywhere else" all of a suddenly turns into the best bench in the NBA.

You gotta love LA

They're right. Lakers will be tougher than Detroit and with the 2-3-2 format it will really be a moral defeat for the Celtics if they don't win on Sunday.

Let's see how PP heals up and what adjustments get made between games before going crazy celebrating...

Although it seems a bit backwards, I think an LA loss would be a bigger moral defeat for the Lakers (than a Boston loss would be for Boston). LA had been labeled as the favorite, and it had nearly been assumed that they would take one of the first 2 games in Boston. They lost last night, so now there's a ton of pressure to not fall down 2-0.

I agree, however, that they shouldn't go crazy celebrating just yet, not only because of PP's injury, but also because the C's played great defense, all of the big 3 had good games, Kobe and Gasol didn't play very well, and they still only won by 10 (with the game close through the final minutes). This is not to take anything away from a very convincing win, of course. The Celtics did everything they needed to do, and should be applauded for their execution, toughness, and heart. The underlying concern though, is that they did what they needed to do and things all fell in line properly, and yet the game was a close one.

It will be interesting to see how both teams adjust for Sunday's game. This should be an excellent series.

Congrats on the win last night.
