Slam dunk. You get a high risk high reward player without sacrificing another player or the pick.

Any player acquired without giving up assets in return is a good thing, and he's a player who may be able to contribute down the road.

Well I guess we're adding a ton of athleticism off the bench. If Walker can make the team..

Walker will be spending time in the D league.

Now we take a Euro at 60 because we don't need three rookies plus Gabe Pruitt.

now if both Posey and TA jump ship, we've got some security.

The owners should get the credit here. They are dishing out cash for picks even though we are going to be in luxury tax. Props to them.

Really excited by this pick. I wanted Walker at 30, despite the trick knee. Walker and Giddens are two of the most talented swing prospects in this draft, though each had risk issues. Getting both of them is a great way to play the odds, perhaps hit at least one HR.

This pretty much assures that TA is gone. Between Giddens and Walker we should be able to get at least one decent young wing for bot the future and to play some mins as the 4th wing. I expect it might end up being similar to how Powe and Baby pushed each other this year. Should be an interesting training camp at least.

I posted this in the Draft thread sometime in the middle of the first round. I'm on board with this move, obviously.

What do you guys think of Bill Walker.

I think he's a guy Ainge is thinking seriously about. I haven't been posting (or reading) around here lately, so I don't know who other people like. I liked Anderson and Walker, and I've liked Arthur for several years now.

Walker would learn a *lot* under Paul Pierce, and he's a very smart player.

Great move, IMO.

The league announced it. I don't know how much more true it could get.

Return to Boston Celtics
