im sure you could have made a list just like this for the current offseason 2-3 years ago as well. a LOT of things will change between now and then

I think Ray stays, but takes a pay cut. I think Paul does the same thing the following year.

There's only a handful of players from that list that I'd want. With that being said... I doubt I'd want to resign Ray Allen when his contract is up, with him being 35.

I'd personally trade ray next year for a guy who will be opting out if at all possible and then ink that guy to a nice long extension. That means that Powe, Walker, Giddens, Gabe or Davis need to get some trade value real quick. I doubt it would be possible but that is what an ideal situation for me.
