I normally don't give this kind of advice, but unless he'll be in the play for consistent minutes, he should go for the money and years. It will buy him some time and maybe things click down the line and that will net him another contract. Otherwise, if he doesn't show anything this year, he'll be playing in Europe next year. Not saying that is bad, but once you go overseas, you rarely make it back.

Playing with Kidd he's going to get a lot of fast break opportunities

I hope he succeeds. He's a phenomenal talent and I have no ill will since he helped us land Kevin Garnett. Plus, he's a great dunker!

In all seriousness, he's facing an uphill battle, since he already has guys like JoHo, Terry, Stackhouse, and Eddie Jones ahead of him. Not to mention they just grabbed Shan Foster in the 2nd, who is basically a polished, less athletic GG- great outside shooter, great length, doesn't do much else.

Well, can't say I expect him to do much. I said that he would get his shot in houston, and that was false.

I wish him well. Seemed like a nice enough kid. Definitely had a low BBIQ, and I suspect he probably felt a little entitled, but I think these last couple of years have probably opened his eyes to how hard he must work to stay in the league. Anyway, good luck to him.

Well he'll be practicing this year to try and make it on the court and get another contract from the Mavs the year after.

I wish him all the luck.

We probuly didn't do him any favors hyping him up, Pierce saying I look foward to sitting on the bench in 5 years and watch him, and constantly boosting his ego.

By now he's probuly really happy to be in the NBA on a team and angry. Hopefully he finds his way with whoever the coach in Dallas is now.
