Classic game thread. This game will be epic. I just hope that Bynum isn't "ordered to flex his muscles" by committing a hard, injury-causing foul :-o

Lakers have one problem. When they play great they get along with eachother. If they have a bad game, fingers are being pointed at. I saw them just not communicating well on both of their loses versus Miami and Orlando. Farmar was yelling at Bynum, Kobe was doing some talking as well, rolling his eyes - this tells me this team doesn't have a strong BOND with one another. Championship teams have strong BOND and even the Lakers fans will admit this, they don't have a BOND.

WRONG. don't try to argue it. 2 games and this guy thinks he knows about the BOND of a team.
just incorrect.

When Kobe is the "leader" you know the team can`t have great chemistry. They have a lot of egos and issues, you have guys like Bynum and Farmar complaining about minutes...That is never good.

Thank god for our TEAM! Everybody knows their role and excepts it!

Wonder if TA gets some burn guarding Kobe tonight? I can see about a foul a minute in that matchup.
Will this be PP's coming out party tonight. I think dropping 30 on the Lakers would be a statement. With Pierce in a diminished role, we're doing rather well. The whole Garnett-Rondo-Perk thing has been partly due to Pierce's not demanding or shooting as much, IMO.

The LA banner on Rox's post featuring "NBA, where defense doesn't happen" is a riot.

That brings up a good point, who do you think will primarily be guarding Kobe? Ray Allen then TA off the bench?

As the leading scorer for the C's would it wear out Ray to chase Kobe around?

Conversely, I'm quite sure Kobe will be guarding Ray and maybe spend some time on Rondo.

I'm just hoping we don't get screwed out of a good match up by a lousy officiating crew...Please David Stern--let the boys play!

Just to expand on this point a little more. The celts are a team and a great one at that. The lakers are a collection of individuals that are very good. The team wins every single time. I want to see if LA quits again like they did in game 6, when the Celts are up by 15 in the second half.

GL fellas.

As a Lakers fan, I honestly don't know what to expect from this game, or more appropriately, from the Lakers. If we play anywhere near the level that we did to start the season, I think we win in a close game.

If we play the way we have over the past 3/4 weeks (for the most part), you guys probably run away with this one.

Either way this is a good test for both squads.

Ray Allen will guard Kobe at the start of the game but just like the finals we will give Kobe different looks. I think the key matchup is the Celtic bench vs the Lakers Bench. I think the Celtics have more guys coming off the bench ready to play hard core defense that will help win you ball games. I don't see nobody matching the toughness if Leon Powe and Big Baby Davis (well maybe not cry baby Davis)...... To me that is the match up to watch. I just think the Lakers will have a hard time matching up to our guys. In games like this it always come down to that unknown player. In this game I think that unknown CAN be Gabe Pruitt.

Ray Ray will probably make Sasha cry.. please, please, please let there be a 1-1 clear out for Ray when Sasha is on the floor... Mental Disintegration!

Pierce can show Kobe how to cry like a man ;)

I know you're not talking about crying when you got wheelchairs on your team :o

I don't know what Pyru blood homies are, but it sounds like a vampire gang from the hood.

Kobe is the 2nd best player in the league so I can't predict the outcome of this one. Besides they played us well in most of the LA games in the Finals. The one we won was that great comeback game where we were down by 24. God that was great.

Piru*

Never in your life disrespect the B game like that again.

How the hell can you be from LA and not know how to spell Piru?

And hell yeah this is coming from a Laker fan.
