Nelson dislocates shoulder

Post#1 » by DorfonCeltics » Tue Feb 3, 2009 3:53 am

If he can't go for the All Star game would Ray or Rondo get the nod?

That would be great but since he's a point guard I think it has to be Rondo if anyone. It would seem odd with KG, Pierce, and Rajon rather than Ray but I'd have no complaint.

I doubt Rondo would get in over Williams... why does it have to be a PG? I could see Ray getting on if it didnt have to be

If Mo Williams makes it over Ray Allen, that will really be sad. I'm sorry but Mo Williams is not an All-Star.

Funny that Ray is having like his best season since 2000 while probably being the best player on the best team in basketball and Mo Williams might get in before him.

As a fan of basketball, the Mo Williams All Star Bandwagon makes me almost throw up in my mouth.

QFT.

I could see him making it in over Rondo since I don't think he's gained the respect around the league that he really deserves just yet. But if Mo Williams makes it in over Ray Ray, that would be an absolute travesty.

In another note Chris Paul may have torn his groin or at least pulled it very bad. Guys this week are dropping like flies...very bad week. 8-)

Well that is kick in the nads for my fantasy team(s). I would be surprised if Mo went over Ray but he would go over Rondo.

Mo will get it over Ray. Book it. If only to counter the "Cavs are one of the best teams in basketball and only have one representative" debate. Dumber things have happened.

Not only does Ray deserve it, but he also should have been the allstar MVP last year and only made the team because of an injury.

You gotta take into account the fact that Ray already said he's not going even if he was named an alternate -- so I believe it will be Mo Williams to balance out the "fairness" of representation - though Rondo is clearly a better PG than Williams...Williams is a scoring PG who has had a very solid season, but he isn't a true two-way player and doesn't create tempo nearly as well as Rondo...

Williams is in so Cleveland has at least 2 reps and not 3 for Orl, 3 for Bos, and only 1 for Cle....its the sad politics of the game...

Foxsports is reporting that he has a torn labrum in his right shoulder, if he opts for surgery he'll be gone the season.

Forget the all-star stupid game, I wish Paul and KG could stay at home and rest.

How does this affect the standing in the east and playoffs.
I was worried about the Cs facing the magic in the second round, b/c that would be a lot of beating on us.
Are the magic going to hold on to that 3rd position? are they going to be effective in the playoffs? it seems like we are going back to 2 teams battle in the east
NFL fans are now feeling what NBA fans been living for a while...

If we were planning on signing Marbury once he was bought out I wonder if this injury changes anything. The magic need a point guard in the worst way now.

Who else is out there?

I came here to post the same thought. The Magic are an excellent team whose scoring-oriented PG has just been injured.
