All character issues aside, from a basketball stand point Marbury is the perfect fit for this team.

Hopefully Marbury does indeed come to the Celtics.

It's nice that the Celtics played such a brutal first half this season. The second half of the season there will be plenty of practice time for both Marbury and Moore to get up to speed.

I know im yet to see either of them on the court, but those stretches where our bench just cant score... should be over

I didn't think I could hate the Celtics any more. But yes, I can. I hope he and the celtics fail miserably.

shrug. well, ok. i can't say i've ever been a starbury fan. the guy must have the lowest winning-to-talent ration in the league.

but for the vet min, as a backup... how can you complain? dude can ball.

either it will work, which will be awesome, or it won't, which means we've lost basically nothing. hopefully our team isn't going to be cancerized by this guy, but luckily we've got a strong locker room.

LOL - I loved that.

The bench indeed will be so much better. How many times have we watched the bench and thought that no one can score consistently or handle the ball.

I just don't see how he's going to have enough time to sour that locker room.

If he acts up in anyway he can be released PLUS as others have pointed out they could release him after March 1st and he wouldn't be able to help anyone else during the playoffs.

So basically....can he ruin this team in a week's worth of time? That's the gamble.

Not a big fan of him. He has been a knucklehead in NY, but hopefully he has come to realize that his playing days are numbered and he needs to get his act together, both on and off the court. He has the talent to help us win again.

But in all honesty.....was that team a good atmosphere to be around? Zach Randolph, Eddy Curry, Q-Rich....not exactly strong locker guys.

I am interested to see how he handles being around KG, Paul and Ray. I think they will keep him in line.

Mikki Moore is younger than PJ Brown
Marbury is younger than Sam Cassell

I think they will sign another player replacing James Posey but they will have to waive a player in order to sign another FA.

Kinda looks like maybe Marbury dropped the grievience in return for the buyout...

With none of the details released...but I'd bet the Knicks had to pay him the full amount minus that million....

Kinda looks like Mabs stuffed it to em....

I'll bet Walsh is relieved though....

I'm just happy this is all over and now we can talk about the games. It will be something to see KG and Marbury together again on the same team. I said on the Knicks board that I really didn't want to see Marbury on the Celtics because I was getting sick of all the Marbury to Boston talk, is Marbury going to agree a buyout, ect. But now that it seems to be over I'm hope Marbury comes in and plays great basketball for us and help the team win another championship

you know we have a few mil of the MLE left, it might be worth using 2mil for this and next season as a team option if we could...

then if he performs we can keep him again on the cheap
