Robert Swift!

Post#1 » by AlCelticFan » Wed Jul 1, 2009 7:11 pm

At least summer league...

The Celtics also added free agent center Robert Swift to the roster. The former Oklahoma City/Seattle seven-footer, who joined the league straight out of high school, has always intrigued Ainge.

LOL no kidding. Ainge has had a hard on for this kid for the past 5 years for whatever reason.

I just read that again. He was just added on the SL roster. No big deal.
Reggie stood out like a sore thumb no tattoos no agenda no chirping nothing Just a guy who could score at will He played college ball at Northeastern he replaced Larry as Celtics captain he belonged to Boston.
And I still miss him. Even now.

An American Beauty-esque ending to an obsession that would not let up. High five, Danny.

I like it. He's better than Mikki Moore and Patrick O'Bryant, at the very least.

Our long lost son is back!

Seriously, I love it! We need length and Swift brings exactly that!

If he is healthy I think he will make the team! He is exactly what we need as our 6-7th big man on the bench for the minimum!

His stats from the 05-06 season when he was healthy aren`t bad at all. In 20 starts he average 7 pts, 8 rbs, 1.7 blks...

For what its worth, he's been moderately productive when healthy in limited minutes.

I think he's got some legitimate game in him, but his health has really held him back....not to mention the tattoo+red hair combo just screams freak. Would far prefer having him on the roster than say, POB or Kandiman though.

Ainge was with Bill Walton in 1986. I guess he thinks Swift could help, too.

Jesus what is this man crush Danny has on him? Anyone think there's any chance Danny tries another POB experiment with him if there is any open roster spots this year?
