I don't care what anyone says. They don't watch West as much as we do so they have no idea about him nor his game. Scott challenged West to improve each year and he has. Let's hope he continues improving. The Hornets' record has seem to open a few eyes this season. Opposing coaches and commentators have been talking up West for a while now. I'm sorry a few other guys couldn't make it but it's the same thing every year where people feel someone 'more deserving' doesn't make it. The #1 team in the East has 2 players and the current #1 team in the West has two. Screw the haters. Here's to you West...

ESPN.com wrote:Paul, the 2006 Rookie of the Year, and West have helped the Hornets to a 32-13 record, which led the Southwest Division entering the night. New Orleans earned another representative later Thursday, as Byron Scott secured the West coaching nod after Dallas' loss at Boston.

west isn't flashy thats all!

i think camby should have gotten in over boozer.
i think baron should have gotten in over roy.

but at the same time, both camby and baron are hopefully mature enough to realize they have 4 days off - remember jalen rose's quote after having a 30+ point game and vince carter not having a great game - he said he was chilling, drinking a drink with an umbrella on a beach while vince was at the all star game sweating!

4 days off means a whole lot! I bet kg and someone like nash skip it because they are "hurt" lol! i would!

Since we are quoting Charles Barkley, he said David West making it was a no brainer and he would have been pissed if he didn't make it. If anyone missed it you should check out nba.com.

WTF? Are you kidding me?

The Nuggets already have Anthony and Iverson in the All-Star game, and if they lose tonight they'll be 9th in the west.

Just compare the numbers:

Boozer / Camby

PPG: 22.0 / 9.3
RPG: 10.6 / 14.3
APG: 2.9 / 2.9
SPG: 1.3 / 1.0
FG%: .541 / .444
FT%: .731 / .690
MPG: 34.9 / 35.1

Boozer's numbers are really down too since January. Perhaps since the team has really changed since Korver whose spread the court for many, especially Memo and AK.

NOLA.com wrote:Chris Paul was selected Monday to participate in the 2008 Playstation Skills Challenge for the third consecutive year during All-Star Weekend on Feb. 16 at the New Orleans Arena.

Paul will compete against two-time defending champion defending champion Dwyane Wade of the Miami Heat, New Jersey Nets point guard Jason Kidd and Utah Jazz point guard Deron Williams.

Last week, Paul and forward David West were selected as reserves for the All-Star Game on Feb. 17. Hornets Coach Byron Scott and his assistants will coach the West team.

The skills challenge event consists of four players competing in a two-round, timed "obstacle course" consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations.

CP3 probably starts the ASG if Kobe does decide to remove himself.

CP broke the World Guiness Record for most half court shots in under 30 seconds. I was watching the Eastern Conference team take shots but when the West came out, I only saw Nash and then they cut into the program to show something else.
