Michael Bowden to AA

Bowden has been promoted to Double-A Portland, per a reliable poster over at soxprospects.com:

Bowden will be the youngest pitcher in the league and while he has been completely dominant at Lancaster, it has only been a little over a month. Anyone think the Red Sox are rushing him? I don't; just trying to get a debate going.

GAY. How am I suppose to scout these players in person if they keep getting promoted out of the California League. Gay.

They have been playing with fire putting pitchers in the Cal League this year so to get him out of their while his confidence is through the roof is good. Also, he has been completely destroying the Cal League so I think he's ready for a challenge. I'm a little surprise it is coming at this point. I expected Buchholz to get bumped to AAA and Bowden to get bumped to AA at the same time, around Memorial Day. I've been following this kid since he was drafted and I've been really rooting for him. mahalo
