Duvall exited the game in the 2nd inning, left oblique injury fouling off a ball. He is likely done for the series. Pache in his place in lineup, Acuna moved to RF, Markakis to LF.

Culberson pinch hitting, strikes out with the bases loaded in the 8th. Braves 0-11 with RISP tonight.

2 big hits with RISP in the 9th for insurance after Riley's homer!

Brilliant pitching by the Braves - Fried pitched better than Beuhler - even though it was 1-1 when both left. Braves didn't capitalize on 5 walks from him. Some of the Dodger's pen looked domnant, but Treinen's hittable, and the Braves pounced on that matchup. Gotta wonder if Jansen's 100% - he's had some postseason problems. Interesting that he wasn't used in the 9th; considering the Braves did use Melancon.

Gotta feel bad for Duvall, but the Braves might be better overall with Pache, and Pache showed some good patience at the plate. This is a great opportunity for him - at just 21. Everyone talks about the Dodgers depth, but having Pache available is impressive. It was smart for the Braves to include him on the playoffs roster rather than Ender, imo.

Duvall might be dome for the series? Wow, it's that serious?!?!
Pache gives us the speed too.

Yeah, it looked like tearing a muscle in his stomach when he swung. No way he can swing for a while with an injury like that. Hopefull he doesn't start laughing, because I imagine that would be very painful.

With the injury to Duvall being severe enough, the Braves are able to call up a player for his roster spot. The Braves called up Camargo.

Unfortunately, Tony Gonsolin is Kershaw's replacement, and he's done extremely well.

I'd rather face him than Kershaw, even with Kershaw being historically bad in the playoffs. This will be something to monitor if it goes to 6 or 7 games, will Kershaw be healthy enough at that point? He's had back issues since 2017, missing time with back issues in 2017, 2018 and this season.

Another thing to keep and eye on, Ian Anderson's changeup vs the Dodgers batters. In 2 post season starts, Anderson has thrown 56 changeups, not one hit has been allowed on that pitch.
