Looks like everyone who is in contention for the playoffs is making themselves better - except us - at this point. Still waiting Mr. Wren. Hey, why not go get Ellsbury from Boston if you think you might consider trading Minor? Centerfielder who bats for power and avg. A big step up from Bourn and would knock the Pence trade off the front pages.

Boston is not trading Ellsbury. If they did, they'd definitely want one of Teheran/Vizcaino/Delgado.

The Yankees are up 16-1 against Baltimore. It's only in the 5th inning and NY scored 12 runs in the 1st inning.

Yeah, very frustrating that all or most teams in playoff hunt are making trades to improve except us.

Apparently the Pirates are close to trading for former Cub and Brave, Derek Lee.

It will give them a veteran presence. hopefully they beat Philly tomorrow.

The Cardinals are talking to the Mariners about Erik Bedard. They seem to be making affordable trades and trying to make a strong push. I hope Bedard stays in the AL.

Philly might be making a move for Bell from San Diego. That would suck as it would help their BP. Like to see the Braves try to snare him away.

The asking price is very high for Bell, so I doubt Philly ends up acquiring him, but we'll see what occurs.
