O's win 5-1, the streak continues. The Braves have not won a series at Baltimore since 2004. Another pitcher that no one has heard of, shuts down the Braves offense. The one run they did score, Freeman scored on a balk. Also another 10+ K game by the offense, including 3 from Acuna. He has 14 Ks in his last 22 ABs, his average has dropped from .285 to .246.
Hamels looked good the first two innings, a couple of mistakes with his changeup in the 3rd inning, the O's put together some hits and a walk to score 3.

Yeah, ever since Acuna hit the ball off his ankle/shin -writhing in pain for at least 5 minutes - and not taking time off - his hitting has been terrible.

Today is an off day, if I was Snit I'd sit him tomorrow. Acuna needs to get his head together. He's also had 1-2 plays here and there where he has lacked hustle. He needs to get it together, we need him to get it going these last 11 games and be ready for postseason.

Josh Donaldson was great as a Brave, but what a moron he was today. https://www.startribune.com/white-sox-edge-twins-4-3-after-josh-donaldson-homer-and-ejection/572444952/ How does he have such a bad temper after hitting a homerun? Arguing is one thing, but kicking dirt on an ump in this atmosphere? It's just not acceptable. And then continuing with the tantrum after getting kicked out. I mean... he needs to go away, pack his bags, and get gone, imo.

You're the only one I've seen not like this. The pitch before the HR, was clearly a ball away, called a strike. I thought it was funny.

Then you have a strange sense of humor. How in the hell is that funny? And who cares if the last pitch was a ball. He still had a 2-1 count and hit a homer. That's nothing but a punk move by Donaldson. And I'm being nice by saying that.

Freddie and Ozuna are fighting it out for the RBI lead. Machado's the only one close to them. Right now, I think Freeman is the leader for NL MVP.

I will be thrilled if Freedie wins MVP.
Well deserved

Chipper won one MVP, and it's amazing how similar Freddie's career is going to Chipper's - though Chipper's numbers are a little better - so far. If Freddie stays healthy and stays with the Braves, I expect he'll be knocking on the door of a lot of Chipper's Atlanta records - if not quite catching them. He's got 1 more year contracted to the Braves. It'd be nice if they can work out an extension this offseason.
