Wow, AA's made a lot of good moves this year - maybe the Executive of the Year. This one's surprising - because we have Langliers and Contreras in the upper minors both doing very well - but shows the commitment to winning now and the next few years. I like it.

Pretty sure the Braves have the best organizational depth at catcher. At every position, the Braves have quality organizational depth.

Although both are doing very well, it allows the Braves not to rush them.

Braves beat the O's 3-0, TDA 2 run HR, Fried first career complete game. 7 game win streak.

His fastball was consistently 95-96 and occasionally hit 97, and his 12-6 curveball was a consistent swing and miss pitch all game long. I don't get to see a lot of Braves games, and this was the 2nd straight one that I've seen that ended with a great diving defensive play by Austin Riley. He's become the all-star caliber 3rd baseman we hoped he'd be.

Remember when it seemed like we could never win 2 in a row, and we were always 4 or 5 games behind the Mets?

I saw somewhere that said we're just 2 more straight road wins away from the Dodgers all-time record of 15. We don't play on the road again till the 30th - against the Dodgers. Now, we have the Yankees and then the Giants, so the schedule is all of a sudden much harder.

It was too much Stanton. That Yankees lineup must be the physically largest in history - LeMahieu, Rizzo, Judge, Gallo, Stanton, Sanchez...that's intimidating. Gotta get a "series" split.

Why have instant replay reviews when they get them wrong? Freddie was clearly safe at home, and the umps called it wrong, and the guys reviewing it in NY somehow didn't change it. There was also a close call at 2nd with Riley that went NY's way. Was the problem a NY bias or just incompetence?

Braves come back from down 4-2, to beat the Giants 6-5. Soler 3 run HR in the 7th, Joc game winning catch. W Smith nearly blew it, HR to first batter faced, nearly allowed another but Joc's catch saved it.
