I was really amazed. If I were the Tigers, I'd never let him go that deep though - can't be good for him long term.

It's a done deal. Sox get Gonzo and 1.1 mil, Reds get shortstop Kristopher Negron.

Negron was in single A, guess he can play all over the place and has a good glove and speed. He however can't hit.

This is the first full pre game show I've watched in awhile...

Is this for real? They just had a bad comedian come on and do a BAD skit about texas. Do they always do this?

Actually, I'm really starting to dislike NESN. They do cover the games very well, both sox and bruins. But Sportsdesk is like ESPN JR.

I don't know about you guys, but when I was young, and it was just bob rodgers and jayme parker in 15 minute segments, and it was fine with me. This try to be hip crap is getting annoying.

Yeah he is.

JCizzle or SSK, either of you interested in joining the pats fantasy league? We could use a couple guys. I decided to check here before going to the celtics board.

Is it me, or are we grounding into an obnoxious amount of double plays lately?

That atbat by Victor was great. Reminded me of a couple years ago, when we had hitters who saw more than 2 pitches an ab.

Appreciate the invite, but I'll pass. I'm notorious for playing the first week of fantasy then never doing it again for the rest of the season.

Lester was dealing again. He struck out nearly 2/3 of the batters he faced during the game - ridiculous.

I was pleased to see the about-to-be-dfa'd Woodward only get one out. I was positive that was gonna turn into a double play at the time. And he had to know he was one foot out the door with the arrival of Gonzo. Thanks Woody.

Yeah, I hate that too. Especially football, it's only once or so a week you have to check.

But I'll tell ya what I do love, Frank Viola calling a game. Sitting there with his opened shirt, bling with his number on it, hidden in his chest hair.

I miss Remy. :(

Or eck, heck I've gotten used to him.

As for the actual game, victor is on a tear. Let's see if they can come back.

That was a solid win. Roy must have been sick or something though.

Another good win last night for the sweep.

Even with all the momentum from Toronto, one can't help but to be wary of this weekend - Penny, Tazawa, Beckett - doesn't inspire much confidence outside of Beckett.
