If you listen to any scouts they would say this Cubs team has the best talent in the NL Central. We just haven't had luck and consistent production on our side. We have had great winning streaks interrupted by bad stenches. It also seems whenever we start a winning streak the Brewers start winning. So we basically haven't gained ground.
...And no, I bet every person in the Rangers clubhouse hates Sosa. He is selfish for himself and his HR's. Not a team player as we all learned in Chicago. There are 600 reasons why Sammy came back to play.
And Sosa's body is noticeably smaller since returning to the majors.

jeez you sure are bitter arent you, yea lets just forget everything he did for your franchise. i was there tonight at the ballpark and it was probably 60% cubs fan im sure the reason half of them were cubs fans to begin with were b/c of people like him, or mark grace or ron santo. and you know what some people might not have liked the guy but by the time sosa hit that blast everyone cubs and ranger fans were cheering.
so just shut the **** up and enjoy the moment for the guy b/c i know his teammates do and i assure you he hasnt been a problem since he's gotten here, hell he didnt even do interviews discussing the matter. he just wants to help the team win and be one of the guys.

I guess the way he went out of Chicago was very unselfish, right? No teammate in Chicago liked him. He was a cancer in the locker room.
And it is funny that ESPN and other media outlets do not seem to care for his 600th home run when if any other hit it, it would be a huge deal.
I am not bitter because he hit 600. I am more bitter that the Rangers beat us yesterday.

Things went downhill for Sammy after he got plunked in the head. He had the phantom back spasms that were supposedly caused by a "sneezing attack," he was slumping, then the corked bat incident and the bold-faced lies that followed, and yes, his final exit was very selfish and unbecoming of the player many had cheered for for many of years.
Now me personally, I wish him the best, but against the Cubs, I like to see him doing what he was doing before he left. You know, striking out, double plays, the works.
If he ever returns to Wrigley as an opposing player, I'd be curious to see the ovation he draws. Personally, I'd probably cheer him, because seeing him in Wrigley would remind me of better days in Cub fan-dom.

They gave him his due time. Besides, it's kind of hard to zero in on him when you've got a guy getting ready to break the all time home run record, another guy inching towards 600 home runs, plus a guy getting ready to get 3000 hits.
It's a big year for milestones
