Series threads seems like a better idea, IMO.

Yeah 162 threads a year may be a little too much.

For the year, I've got 5 games. 2 sets of 4 for Upper Deck, 3 sets of 4 for bleachers. All Saturday games. 8)

Might take a trip over to Pittsburgh for a game or two as well, the drive from here to Pittsburgh is actually less travel than to Chicago.

So are we doing these game threads the same as the Bulls board? Winner post the next game.

I think we are going to do series threads where if the Cubs win 2 of 3 I make the next series thread. We don't want to have 160+ game threads clutter this board. Series threads are the best option.

Flames good to see another fellow Bulls/Cubs fan.

Cool to see Bulls fans splitting between Cubs and Sox.

Hopefully it will be an exciting season. I can't wait for the first pitch :D

And it's nice to see a lineup that I can be happy about. All these years with Baker, it seemed like I was criticizing the lineup every single day. Piniella has this lineup on the dime.

I have never been so stoked for a season since 2003. In like January 2003, I was like this is going to be a great team and look what happened. This team might be even better than that team.

In 2003, our pitching carried us. This year, it's going to be the opposite. I love our lineup. For a National League lineup, we're right up there with the Mets in terms of the best lineup in the NL. Izturis is our only weak spot and if he has the success in the regular season like he did in ST, I'll be a happy man.

The wild card will be our pitching. We know what we're going to get out of Big Z. Hill was coming into his own in August and September and I think we'll get good production out of him. But Lilly, Marquis, Miller/Prior are going to be the deciding factors of how good this team will be. As long as we get adequate production from them, we'll be in good shape.

Our 5th starter is going to be our determining factor on if we make the playoffs. If he goes near .500 we could be in the playoffs.
He has to just stay consistent.

Hey SW, did you ever have any luck with the free 14 day trial of MLB.TV you got when you bought 2k7? I'm hoping to activate it tomorrow, which should hold me until I get DirecTV. 8)

Is it weird that I kind of want to pick up a 6-pack of Old Style when I ditch out of work for the game?
