CUBS ARE BACK IN THE PLAYOFFS!!!

Woo Hoo! I don't care how it happened, I'm just happy to be in. More than we could've reasonably expected this season. Yeah it's too bad we're in a division where Cards and Pirates have been phenomenal, but still loving it!

It just means the Cubs are used to playing good teams. One game can go good or bad for anyone (remember both WS teams last season won the BS play-in game). The Cardinals or Pirates in the actual first round don't really scare me more or less one way or another.

Pittsburgh has to go 0-3 or 1-2(with us going 3-0) the last 3 games to catch them and host, but I am really just happy we're hot and in the playoffs.

Yeah, still possible (of course the damn Reds blew it tonight), but I think heading into the weekend it was a long shot to have that game at Wrigley. I'm perfectly happy with the game being at PNC. Less pressure and the Cubs are a damn good road team. Didn't seem to hurt the Giants last season going to Pittsburgh either.

i don't know if we had a preseason prediction thread but i was only thinking like low 80s in wins and even optimistically mid 80s

this season has been a huge success and there has only even been a few times when it seemed like everything was clicking between injuries, slumps, etc. we got this far without firing on all cylinders the whole year - amazing
