cubs win in 13! walk-off! blew it in the 9th but rizzo came up in a big way today. he's starting to get into a groove i'd say
hammel pitched great too, 14 scoreless innings
4th win in a row

and our recent success has pulled us out of the basement of the league, there are two teams with worse winning percentages than us now (rays and diamondbacks)

Is that a good thing? Wouldn't the #1 pick be better then the #5 pick? Unless you think this team is capable of making a playoff run wouldn't the #1 draft pick be the best outcome for the season?

i have no idea, all i know is that i like it when the cubs win so i am going to enjoy this while it lasts
even after this streak we're still 9 games under .500 and a fire sale is looming, so there is plenty of season left for us to lose - just let me have this now

I'm simply rooting for the Cubs to do well because I want to see improvement. Regardless of how much we win the rest of the season, we're definitely getting a high draft pick. There is very good talent in the top 10 even if you don't get your top 2 or 3 rated players.
GOING FOR SIX!
