cubs (64-76) vs. pirates (71-68)

game 1: wada vs. worley 1:20 pm
game 2: doubront vs. liriano 3:05 pm
game 3: wood vs. cole 1:20 pm

are we officially eliminated from the playoffs yet? because we're peaking at the right time

go cubs!

Not technically. They could win out and hit 86 wins, although that wouldn't be enough to make the playoffs.

so castro and rizzo are both likely out for the year (no reason to rush them back). the upside is that other people get a chance to see some time

do you guys agree with moving baez to short while castro is out? if he is going to be at 2nd long term wouldn't it make more sense to keep him there to get more reps or is it not that big of a deal?

I was thinking about that too.

Thought maybe moving back to short helps him out mentally at the plate as he's adjusting again to a new level after a slow start with one less thing to worry about. Also the idea that he'll likely have all of spring training at 2B should be enough with how much he's already played, so no big deal there.

Also thought maybe it's more to see what they have in Watkins at 2B.

Maybe they're thinking how team would look after a Mets deal, but I doubt it.

Just leg cramps which is ironic since Carlos Zambrano was at the park (https://twitter.com/TonyAndracki23/stat ... 24/photo/1)

Yeah, we used to own them. Now they're destroying us.
