Donaldson's a pretty good catching prospect. He's still very young and raw. We don't really need a catcher since Soto might be there for close to a decade.

I'm so happy. The best part is, our rotation now has two Canadians. Ferguson Jenkins would be proud.

Yeah 3/4 of the guys we gave up had their "positions blocked" and they were not really needed. I'm going to miss Gallagher, but we can live with a healthy Harden.

I'm one Oakland fan that's pretty furious right now. Not only was Rich traded, but Gaudin was also included?

On the bright side of things I'm glad they didn't go to the Yanks or Muts.

The A's are going to get 3 MLB ready players in Murton, Patterson, and Gallagher. Murton really never got a chance in Chicago with our great outfield. Patterson and Gallagher did a nice job for us too. Donaldson could be a good player as well.

My guess is that this guy's a closer within the next few years. Hopefully we can ride him to a world series in the meantime.

Sabathia's still probably a bigger pickup for THIS season. BUT - the Cubs were better than the Brewers yesterday and they're even better now, and Harden cost much less in trade. Oh yeah, and the Cubs are still in first.

How exciting, I was listening to the news on my drive home from work today and kind of surprised at how little the A's took. I thought for sure Cedeno or Fontenot type player would be involved.

Harden's pitching this weekend, and he's already beaten the Giants this year during inter-league

I was at the game when Harden beat the Giants...Harden was dealing...but I walked away from that game more impressed with Cain...SF is just a horrible offensive team...

Harden was 3-0 with a 0.68 ERA in four starts against the National League this year in Interleague Play.

Yeah I saw that as well and it isn't working for me. Maybe on SportsNite they will play his reaction.

The link doesn't work for me either. I'm sure SportsNite will play something after they talk about everything we already know.
