Nah I think I'd keep the deal we made. I love Anthony Parker though.

Simmons is solid. People knock him for his injury problems. Look at his stats when he was a starter on the Clippers. He is solid.

I'm just hoping we can move up to 5 with Memphis and take Love. This also does open the door more for Dano too though.

Seeing as it's been reported in espn, rotoworld and SI I guess it's a done deal. It's tough trading a guy who's been on our team since 01 especially since he's the last player left from the 2002-2003 nets teams who made championship runs. While it is sad to see him go, It's a trade we absolutely had to get done.

As someone who saw Yi play every game last year (before he was hurt) I'd have to say he's still a big unknown. He could be an all-star, he could be a good player, he could be a decent bench player, he could be a bust. I think he'll be a good player.

You will also inherit a whole bunch of Chinese members here, almost all of whom are great guys.

This is a great deal. The Nets couldn't give RJ away. In return they got last year's #6 pick, who has a ton of potential & $11mil in savings in the summer of Lebron. As an added bonus, Yi is a marketing dream for a team in this area. We might actually start drawing a crowd & selling jerseys again.

First of all, this is a great trade for the Nets. We were rebuilding and this puts us in a great position to make a run for 2010 free agent class. As much as I appreciate RJ for all he has done throughout his stay here NJ, I'm afraid to say that he has reached his ceiling and will never get the same looks he had especially with JKidd out of our roster.

Yi Jianlian is an interesting prospect and has shown flashes that he can be a serviceable player. Not great but a decent player who can put up points, rebounds and some defense with his length. Having Yi is like having an extra draft pick in this year's draft. Simmons, on the other hand, was playing well until he was injured. If he can come back from his injury he can be a good player off the bench. Plus, his contract runs out in 2010 which is a huge asset for the Nets' move to Brooklyn.
