I'm Sorry you CAN NOT convince me that Jerryd Bayless is worth Brandon Rush & Jarret Jack. Hopefully we at least get the pick

Ok, Hibbert is fine. I wanted Arthur, I'll take a 7'2'' 278 center.

Nice, Hibbert is solid. Guess the Koufos talk was just hogwash.

Outside observer, but if you guys make the trade with Portland I hope you at least dump a bad contract like Tinsley's them as well. Paul Allen has no problem with buyouts.

Hibbert? Hmmm. I thought Koufas was going to be the guy.

Hibbert.

I know I'll feel different later, but right now I'm feeling like this draft is a Disaster for the Pacers.

They won't. I can guarantee that. Portland reportedly turned down MUCH better trades because they refused to take on any contract beyond 09. You're dreaming if you think a salary dump is gonna be involved here.

Hibbert is not a disaster. He is PERFECT for our defensive scheme.

but.. uhh... bayless for rush sucks.

Well you got a least half your wish old bubby!

My question about Hibbert is can he play in OB's system, but at 7'2" he's really hard to pass up.

I won't think differently later. We just traded a potential All-Star for a role player.

this draft is a massive failure and the second that it is announced I am out. I have lost all faith in Bird, he needs to be fired before he pulls the trigger on this deal. I just don't see how anyone can be that dumb. It is absolutely ridiculous that he even listened to the piece of crap offer, much less accepted it.

Where are you guys getting this trade with Portland stuff from? ESPN hasn't said a thing about it.

Looks like we are getting Roy Hibbert. I'm OK with that. He should be a pretty solid NBA center, if not a spectacular one. A solid center at #17 is nothing to complain about.

Well, with the #17, the Pacers got their big, and to me, the best thing about Roy Hibbert is that he's not Kosta Koufos. A big guy who's probably less of a risk than many of the other bigs, good hands, but very plodding. Will be difficult to see him fit in the uptempo game that Obie preaches.

Our defense is a packline. You need a big big big guy to make it work. Hibbert is perfect, even though Arthur is a better player.

If we keep bayless and Hibbert, we have 2 of the top 10 players in this draft. Rush is about a late 1st around or early second round pick. boo.
