Well we needed a backup poing guard... but with Green,Arthur,Chalmers, and hell Jordan on the board... you got to question what makes Hill so remarkable or better than any of the prospects listed?

why doesn't our team ever take any safe picks?..we are no longer dominant enough to take risks on random players, whether they are international or not..we need guys that can actually help this team right now with their youth..

I really like Hill from what I've read - but over Arthur and others? I don't agree.

Very happy for my boy, he's going to be on a good, and eventually elite team

*shakes head* Wow

Oden/Arthur/Aldridge - can you say tough, athletic, versatile, and balanced?! Christ. Oh, plus their whole wing situation.

When you have a young stud PG just coming into his best days, you need a vet backup that can come in with minimal playing time and be productive. Trying to develope a player behind an all-star can be a long process.

If you have talented players at positions you need available, they can develope if there is playing time they can earn. Bowen, Fin or whoever we have playing mins at the SG/SF, they are proven and don't need miles on their legs. There are mins there to develope someone.

I think this will be a useless pick for this coming season unless there is a trade, IMO.

I hate this pick... unless someone like CDR or Jordan falls to our pick our draft grade would be a F

I'm still hoping and kinda expecting we get one of those big men in the 2nd round... that'd make me pretty happy

I'm not against Hill..I'm just confused at picking him over those other guys..I'm sure we could have traded something for a 2nd round pick if we really wanted him..cash to Portland or something, they don't need any more guys..

Arthur to the Rockets then, that's still great, I thought they might be interested in him originally

Portland really solidified their wing spots, and should have now found that talented, all-around SF

Portland decides they want Batum. They are picking 27, and know that Batum will be going #26 to the Spurs.

What do they do? Call up Houston, picking 25, have them grab Batum in exchange for #27 and a 2nd round pick. Gotta admire Pritchard, regardless of whether they are becoming a "dynasty" or not, he has a knack for targeting players and acquiring them.
