Sterling and Baylor sure know how to draft...

The sad part is that this isn't the worst draft we've had in the last couple of years.

I give them a D.

DeAndre Jordan has the potential to be a great value pick, but so did Walker or Douglas-Roberts and they would have filled a greater need.

We needed a C bad and atleast we picked some with a high ceiling and some athleticism.

IMHO though, Bayless+CDR would have been a great draft.

I was also hoping for CDR but we got Jordan. It is the 2nd round and I hope that Jordan can develop into a good player. He is young and I hope that we keep him.

Character issue aside Jordan has the most untapped talent and potential amongst the bigs in this draft class. This is a big no-risk high value pick for the Clippers, it remains to be seen whether Jordan has the drive, patience and determination to succeed in the league but with the right coaching and guidance, the sky is truly the limit for Jordan.

They should stick Jordan in the D league for a year or two until he is ready to play in the league. I like this selection much better than the 1st round pick Gordon. Bayless was the choice there since it is not guaranteed they can pickup a PG for Maggette.

I like DeAndre Jordan in the second round. Though he's not really up to his potential yet, I like him more than Tim Thomas backing up EB already. Could be like a Mikki Moore/Wilcox when they were here.

Of course.. just one pick away from Chalmers though. Dough.

DeAndre Jordan is not a basketball player. He didn't even get playing time during the second half of the season...that is how bad he is. He can't really do anything.

I too was hoping for CDR. I think he was a steal in the second round. Who cares if he didn't do that well in the workouts, he can straight out ball.

The Clips would have had one of the best drafts if they picked Bayless and CDR.

Chalmers ends up Miami for a future 2nd and cash. I was really getting excited thinking that Chalmers, CDR or Walker would be available for us. CDR would have been sweet but we passed on him too. Size/big men depth is a concern somewhat as seen last season. Jordan does have potential but some obvious red flags. I hope he shows the drive to be something in this league.

DeAndre Jordan needs a loooot of work, but if he can live up to it, he'll be big. I don't think it was a risk taking him that low in the second round. btw, did ESPN say he was a leftie during the broadcast? Just curious.

CDS sucks, getting outplayed by 2nd rounders. Thank god we didn't get him. We developed Kaman into something special, turned Brand into a monster, I'm pretty sure we'll be okay with the 19 year old Jordan.

What a see-saw tonight turned out to be for the Clippers. First, they're standing pat, Then, we're trading up to get Gordon, who they eventually got at #7 anyway. Bravo for not being fooled by Sam Presti. Gordon doesn't come in with a ton of hype, but if he can find his role running the P&R with Elton Brand next season, Gordon might find himself being the second straight Clippers rookie to be an All-Rookie 1st team player. The guy is like a shorter, bulkier Dwayne Wade with a better J.

Landing DeAndre Jordan was an absolute steal and left Clippers fans with a great feeling about tonight. But follwing the Jordan pick, who I never thought the Clippers would be smart enough to scoop up, the Clippers managed to acquire another 2nd round pick tonight. Mike Taylor made history tonight by becoming the first Developmental League player picked in the NBA Draft, and left a lot of fans scratching their heads. I guess the Clippers figured if they would give Smush Parker a second chance, they could give the Iowa State castoff a chance. For now, Taylor will fill the role of the 2nd round guard with untapped potential, following Lionel Chalmers, Guillermo Diaz and Jared Jordan. The Clippers are hoping the fourth time is a charm here as they pick yet another guard in the late second round.

The night felt like a success, until it was revealed the Grizzlies had acquired USC star OJ Mayo. Clippers fans are left to wonder how far off a deal would had they acquired the #4 pick from Seattle and spent it on Kevin Love. For those wishing to see Mayo remain in southern California, their dream was deferred tonight. Not acquiring Mayo tonight should not take away from the Clippers wisdom not to be fooled by the clever Presti, and being able to get the steal of the night, Jordan, and Taylor who is worth of a second chance.
