April 9, @ Washington.

The NBA announced that the Celtics' April 9th game at Washington will be broadcast on ESPN. It replaces the New Jersey at Cleveland matchup.

I know the C's are the best team in the league, but I'm still surprised they bumped Lebron to show the Celtics. I love it!

I HATE nationally televised games. The internet streams are terrible. I love league pass!

Dumb decision. I highly doubt the C's will take that game seriously. I fully expect the Celtics to coast the rest of the way.

I wonder what the national ratings have been. Thats a pretty interesting thing to bump two teams playing for playoff implications and one happens to have LeBron, for us and a team thats probably not playing for much.

heh. You would be singing a different tune if you had a HDTV setup. HDTV games are so much better SD league pass is nearly unwatchable.. This is great news.

Not playing for much? The Wizards are a serious playoff threat.. They are what 2 games behind the Cavs? I think the Wiz have a much tougher schedule but the Cavs (predictably) have been very mediocre since the much ballyhooed trade.

Outside of Lebron the Cavs have always been mediocre.

I don't think we would want to lose to a team three times in a season and then face them in the East Semis.

I still don't understand why the NBA doesn't have the flex schedule like the NFL. How many **** times have the Heat been on national TV this year compared to the C's? It seems like the damn Heat are on EVERY week!

For a recently transplanted New Englander who lives in the south now, the national games are the only way I can watch the C's, so it sucks!
It's still 17 to 11!!!!

You could get league pass to watch games in the South. Also their are less legal ways to get "feeds" but those are pretty darn low quality.

Heh. I am glad someone has figured that out. People always write that I am "bitter" or "unhappy" and so on. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

Anyway I'd love more national games. I actually don't mind the national commentary. Tommy is fine but I don't mind a different viewpoint..

The problem is that Tnt really doesn't have an avenue to switch games leading to a lot of late season heat games. It seems to me like the NBA has switched many more games this year than they have in the past.
They should probably consider having 4 games on every thursday instead of 2-3 that they normally have to get more flexibility.

I could, but I don't want to pay for it. I"m getting screwed as it is for "Basic" cable, so to pay more for league pass, when I don't watch that much TV to begin with, ain't worth it.
It's still 17 to 11!!!!
