Were Probably Done, But Lets All 100% Real...

Post#1 » by Matt34520 » Fri May 23, 2008 3:55 am

The big 3 played great tonight. Ray finally was Ray again. Garnett was great as usual and so was Paul Pierce. Were also at home. But we lost. Detroit pulled out all the stops and just flat out won the game. I think were probably done, unless we get real lucky.

With that said, lets all be honest, this has been a great year. I know none of us wanted it to end like this, but remember two things...

1.) Its only a game.
2.) None of us can control what happens in the game.

Detroit just proved to be better. But like I said the best year I've watched as a Celtics fan. The Celtics had nothing big for years, this year was big and very exciting...Danny Ainge braught big time basketball back to Boston. And it very well could have led to a title if a couple plays had went different. But thats life.

No... you are right... its tied... but you missed the part where we are 0-6 on the road. Had they won ONE road game, I am sure most of us wouldn't be so queasy.

Can we please hold off on threads like these until we're actually eliminated? Yes, I like the premise and agree I have been pleased with this season, regardless of the outcome. However, we're not done until we lose number four in a series, so quit assuming we're done.

and we were 9-0 at home, yet we lost one at home. Thus we can win one on the road.

We're probably done? Man some of you need to get the **** out of here. If I had to put money on it I would say we're probabl going to come back to Boston tied most likely.

How the hell do we lose a game were all three of are stars play big at home? I hope some of you are right about us winning in Detroit, I lost confidence in this team on the road based on what Atlanta and Cleveland did...

If the Celtics players were chicken little as some of their fans, the series would definitely be over. But we know they are not.

What they should be, however, is ashamed of you.

How is the series over when we're about to win 3 in a row?

Ashamed of me? Everytime they have been in close situation on the road they have lost. They have horrible on the road in the playoffs, why would that change vs. The Pistons? The Pistons are better than the Cavs and Hawks...

SERIES OVER??? COMMON MAN. The celtics and pistons are two of the best teams in the league. We are watching two great teams slug it out. What did you think, it was gonna be easy to get through the pistons. Did you think we would win the series in four games. The pistons and celtics are both great teams, it will be a great series. I cannot believe that you would start a thread calling it over after one loss.

They have been a putrid road team for about a month -- and before that they were an excellent road team for almost 6 months.

Your point?

They were the best road team in the NBA this season. They didn't win a game on the road in the previous two series and they also didn't have to. The Pistons have managed to lose a home game in two series they didn't even have to extend to 7 games and have won 8 straight game 2's. If Boston had won this game they would have tied a NBA record for consecutive home wins to start a postseason.

Now as fans you don't have to do much except watch the games and not piss your pants everytime we meet a little adversity. Have a little faith and stop acting like a bunch of losers, this is the friggin Celtics we are rooting for.

What will you do if we win 2? You might have missed it, but we won a lot on the road during the season. It is possible we can win on the road, ya know.

The Celtics and Pistons are great teams. But our team can't handle playoff pressure and Detroit can.

If we couldn't beat the Atlanta Hawks in Atlanta, why do you believe we'll be the Detroit Pistons in Detroit? I hope I'm wrong...i don't want to be right.

I hope you right bro. I really do. I watched every game this year. Yeah in the regular season they were great on the road, great with a capital G. But for some reason it hasn't happened in the playoffs. If they win 2, I'll personally apologize to the whole Celtics nation on here...
